I'm still hoping for these two even though Pin said that even though ayane became 27 or 28 years old, he would still think she's too young for him. just finished the manga..yep ugly cried from chapter 117 to the end, THEY WERE MY SHIP. Even when Yano was dating Kent it was still Pin, even before Kent came into the picture I wanted her with Pin. UGH MY HEART HURTS 😭
I'm still hoping though. I'm pretty sure she's important to him based on his reactions to her in chapter 117, how he didn't actually break her heart completely but gave her encouragement, how he called her nice when she didn't think she's nice at all. I believe his words really got to her. I feel like he tried to mend her heart by saying those things. It may just be me, but those words always seemed like his own confession to her without actually saying those words because he doesn't want to hold her back. After all he did to push her to pursue what she wanted, possibly, he didn't want her to have anything weighing her down. It may just be me but I actually didn't feel sad with how it turned out. I feel like after Kurumi, Chizu would be next tho following the timeline. Hoping Ayane would be the next though.

I also like Kento for Ayane but I knew from the start that it would be Pin and it hurts when the rejection happened. I understand Pin and I really actually adore him as a teacher, too. His words has a lot of sense and he is good at giving pieces of advice. Well, I think they ended up together at the end. Moreover, I am happy for Ayane and Kento for keeping their friendship after they broke up. Kento also pushes her and encourages her which is so both adorable and painful to watch. I hope he will find someone for him, too. Maybe, Kurumi? 🤗

But then I was searching for every pic and edits on Pinterest and google and found that she breaks up with Kento. I was sad. Ayane has gone through so much. She takes care of everyone in the group and shows maturity while understanding them. But Ayane fails miserably to love herself. At the end of the day she was still a kid and was treated harshly by her two exes. She's too young to be treated like this. At least Kento was very respectful and loving to her and it made me happy. Although children this young shouldn't date. She didn't understand how dating works. There could be so many Ayane in real life and it pains. Her breakup saddened me but when I got to know she liked Pin I was happy. I got so invested in their story. Their age gap and everything might be problematic for many readers. But the little things about them made it so special.I didn't plan on reading manga but I read vol 29 for them . I got so much interested in Ayane's story unfortunately there's not much about her after she left. She needs spin off more than anyone. It doesn't have to be romantic. We could know about her progress in studies and making new friends. I went through so many emotions and deep down I want Pin and Awane together. Him buying eraser for her was so sweet. He was gentle in rejecting her and still interacted normally during the graduation. I want to believe that he liked her. He did care about her many times like walking her home and saving her from getting approached by boys. He didn't take advantage of her vulnerability. I liked Pin's goofiness but him always looking after Kazehaya's friend group impressed me. One thing I noticed that Pin is more like a family to them since he was Tohru's friend and watched Ryu, Chizuru and Kazehaya grow up. So he's like an elder brother to them. If Chizuru could like Toru, it's normal for Ayane to like Pin who is same age as Tohru. I just wanted to say that girls can like or admire older boys. Pin is like their friends in a way however he still was a teacher. Maybe in volume 29 he was with Ayane and people assumed they were a couple. So in people's eyes their age gap is not so visible. It was not happy ending but I enjoyed him spending time with her. I came here to see people who ships them like me. It was nice seeing people who see it this way and better outlook on this. He is someone who couldn't get a girlfriend or isn't liked romantically. And Ayane liking him feels special to me. He being protective of her gives me a little hope that they might be a couple. Them saying goodbye did hurt but being optimistic works. Few little things do imply they could work out.

I can't stop yapping about them but I can't because people would think I'm weird 😭 for shipping them. They are my Roman empire. I finished the anime but then I read vol 29 only for them. I don't ship them because they are teacher student 😞 I ship them for the unusual bond they have. They fought so much like enemies sometimes it makes me forget their relationship. Pin might be 10 years older but when they fought it looked like they were equals. You Know how Pin is often childish like he tried to bribe the judges to win competition and kinda runs after women like he did when they were on a trip he was after the guide. It's amusing to see his considerate observant side for others despite that. The way Ayane gets approached and perceived by others due to her appearance of looking mature and attractive to others is heartbreaking. Even her friends fail to actually understand her. Kento was the first one to grasp it but she couldn't open herself to him. Pin could actually see through her and reach her. Pin also protects her multiple times like walking her safely and all. Ayane has been taken advantage a lot of times and Pin was so mature to understand that she is young and vulnerable and doesn't take advantage of the situations. He would not be special to me if he simply rejected Ayane. He was validating her feelings. He didn't insult her and also didn't give her false hope. He also gave her encouragement. Pin was waiting for Ayane to know about her result 😭 and also bought eraser just for her 😭. The fact that Ayane unknowingly gave Pin chocolates for 2 years and her realization is also heartbreaking to me 😭 and the last one was when she actually confessed. I'm so glad he still ate the chocolate even though he rejected her. He was not rude to her. And the fact that this two fought like enemies and met multiple times just pains me. Him still trying to protect her given their dynamics in the initial episodes 😭. I felt so bad when she was thinking about the remaining no of times she could see Pin before their school ends. When she was saying goodbye to him 😭. Another thing that I liked was that Pin knew Ayane liked him way before she confessed . I wished my crushes were also this smart 😢. Please writer give me hope 😭 I mean you kinda did with the "Keep your hair up for 10 years" thing. But please let Ayane be happy. My heart goes out to Ayane she suffered so much. Watched Kimi ni todoke for Sawako and Kazehaya, started liking Ryu and Chizuru but Ayane is a character I would cherish. Her sufferings reached me as a reader. I love the ship. I love Pin too he wasn't the typical male lead but he took my heart with his caring/observant nature with blend of cockiness. These two would be memorable. Don't know if the writer is cruel to make me suffer for them or intelligent to have this beautiful but painful ship.

I feel like the reason Kento and Ayane didn't work out was because she thought he was nice just like her friends. She didn't want someone nice and kind to tell her that she's a good person too. It makes it hard for her to believe them. This is why she couldn't completely open herself to others. With Kento that feeling of being inferior probably increased. Pin is not someone you would call nice and kind due his personality since he praises himself too much and appears immature, childish for an adult. But despite everything he is a nice person underneath. He gives good advice. Ayane could open up to him because she didn't think Pin as a typical adult man. She always fought with him but also had conversations that she won't have with her friends. Ayane and Pin were like frenemies. She didn't feel judged by Pin and mostly didn't care what he thought about it. However Pin surprised her with things she needed to hear. Pin understood her well as a person. His words reached her. She became more expressive.

I noticed that too, there are parts of the manga where he blushes when she looks him straight in the eyes and tries to change the subject quickly, maybe he did have feelings for her but because of age difference, he just didn't want to give her hope and just focus on her studies
He obviously loved her, but as a responsible adult, he knew it wasn’t the right time. I think he loved her to the point he’s ready to lose her, rather than prevent her from doing what she wants.

Him still trying to protect her given their dynamics in the initial episodes 😭. I felt so bad when she was thinking about the remaining no of times she could see Pin before their school ends. When she was saying goodbye to him 😭. Another thing that I liked was that Pin knew Ayane liked him way before she confessed . I wished my crushes were also this smart 😢. Please writer give me hope 😭 I mean you kinda did with the "Keep your hair up for 10 years" thing. But please let Ayane be happy. My heart goes out to Ayane she suffered so much. Watched Kimi ni todoke for Sawako and Kazehaya, started liking Ryu and Chizuru but Ayane is a character I would cherish. Her sufferings reached me as a reader. I love the ship. I love Pin too he wasn't the typical male lead but he took my heart with his caring/observant nature with blend of cockiness. These two would be memorable. Don't know if the writer is cruel to make me suffer for them or intelligent to have this beautiful but painful ship.

I just finished the live action! It was beautifully done. I loved chizu, ryu, yano and pin more now than i did in the anime🥹
Also I just found out that Shohei Miura’s wife in real life played Kurumi in the 2010 live action for kimi ni todoke 😄
I feel like the reason Kento and Ayane didn't work out was because she thought he was nice just like her friends. She didn't want someone nice and kind to tell her that she's a good person too. It makes it hard for her to believe them. This is why she couldn't completely open herself to others. With Kento that feeling of being inferior probably increased. Pin is not someone you would call nice and kind due his personality since he praises himself too much and appears immature, childish for an adult. But despite everything he is a nice person underneath. He gives good advice. Ayane could open up to him because she didn't think Pin as a typical adult man. She always fought with him but also had conversations that she won't have with her friends. Ayane and Pin were like frenemies. She didn't feel judged by Pin and mostly didn't care what he thought about it. However Pin surprised her with things she needed to hear. Pin understood her well as a person. His words reached her. She became more expressive.

I noticed that too, there are parts of the manga where he blushes when she looks him straight in the eyes and tries to change the subject quickly, maybe he did have feelings for her but because of age difference, he just didn't want to give her hope and just focus on her studies
He obviously loved her, but as a responsible adult, he knew it wasn’t the right time. I think he loved her to the point he’s ready to lose her, rather than prevent her from doing what she wants.

I don’t why people think this is like a pedo ship or something but they have what a 10 year gap. I know plenty of adults who are happily married that are 10 to 12 years apart. I think ayane should get with him after some time apart and of course maturing
Same here also Pin is more like their 6th friend if we count that he has known Ryu, Chizuru and Kazehaya for a long time before becoming a teacher. He was also in Kazehaya's father's baseball team. He was friends with Toru Sanada too. He's like an older brother to them .So indirectly he's not only a teacher for Ayane. This could've worked if they fell for each other later and not while she's a student to him. 10 years is not too much.
