Barry Maz invented them? Huge if true!

funnily enough I did nearly say it was Barry Maz that invented them - but ten I read Barry Island was named after him as a thank you for all his great reviews. Hope you are well buddy.....

Very nice review Paul. To me the Baritone was always an anti-ukulele because of its guitar like sound. A member of our group plays one and it can provide a nice counterpoint to the Ukulele sound. Cool Lambretta t-shirt too!

Bought one of these about 5 years ago. As you mentioned. It's a bit understated looking, but sounds lovely and a joy to play. 🙏

    Thanks for the review!
I had never heard a baritone ukulele before. Hearing you play Lagrima makes me think it doesn't have much of an individual identity. It really does sound like a guitar without the deeper bass notes. Not much to offer for fingerstyle for me.
The strumming sounds amazing though. It's a great way to get the vibe of a guitar with the ease of a ukulele for playing some simple chords. Makes me a little tempted.

thanks - yeah I know what you mean - in some ways it is almost like a limited guitar. I do agree though its sounds nice and deep when strummed.

Great review and love your playing. Can I ask where the music is available for "Lagrima" for the ukulele? Thanks!
