- In this new episode of BMW Today you can meet up with the latest member of the BMW xCrew family: The all-new BMW iX3. A model that embodies the strategic “Power of Choice” approach with which the BMW Group is covering the broad variety of customer requirements and statutory regulations around the world. The BMW X3 will be the first model to be available with highly efficient petrol and diesel engines, a plug-in hybrid system or a pure-electric drive
system.
The fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology enables improvements in operating range through intelligently enhanced efficiency. This means that disproportional large batteries, which usually have a
negative effect on vehicle weight, driving dynamics and electric power consumption, can be avoided.
This cutting-edge battery cell technology provides a range of up to 459 kilometres (285 miles) in the WLTP test cycle and up to 520 kilometres (323 miles) in the NEDC test cycle. Customers also have multiple options for charging, whether we’re talking about home or public charging. The high-voltage battery in the new BMW iX3 can be charged from 0 to 80 per cent of its full capacity in 34 minutes. But drivers also can inject the power required to add 100 kilometres (62 miles) to the car’s driving range (in the WLTP cycle) in only 10 minutes of charging.
Compared to the BMW X3, the front got a complete redesign: the apron and the BMW kidney grille have a largely enclosed design now. The rear end has also been sculpted to reduce air resistance, while the innovative, aerodynamically designed light-alloy wheels also help to control the flow of air around the vehicle. The improvement of the wheels adds around 10 kilometres (6 miles) to the range of the BMW iX3 in the new WLTP test cycle. Blue BMW i accents can be found around the body and in the inside to create a new more modern and fresher look and allude to the vehicle’s electric drive system.
As for the interior it is packed with high-quality materials, stylish designed surfaces and state-of-the-art technology. Understated blue accents the interior of the new BMW iX3 allude to the presence of its electric drive system, while the new cloud-based navigation system enables routes and arrival times to be calculated with more speed and precision.

BMW iX3: Energy consumption in kWh/100 km (combined): 17.8-17.5. CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 0.
The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model. The values of the vehicles are already based on the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. [With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2-emissions the CO2 values may differ to the values stated here.] The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification. Further information on official fuel consumption figures and specific CO2 emission values of new passenger cars is included in the following guideline: 'Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2-Emissionen und den Stromverbrauch neuer Personenkraftwagen' (Guide to the fuel economy, CO2 emissions and electric power consumption of new passenger cars), which can be obtained free of charge from all dealerships, from Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen and at www.dat.de/co2/.

can you guys start a project on a mid-engine supercar
you can use the m8 platform and put you v12 from the 7 series ( for the top end model )
and maybe put the twin turbo v8 for the lower end model
shread the weight down to under 1600kg......i bet this will be a game changer in the market
try to make the v12 exceed 700 hp.........and i dont mind if its turbocharged
but atleast for the fans .....can try to make it naturally aspirated...plssssssss :)

BMW should start using more inline 6s , make 1er RWD and should give better steering feel and should stop upsizing the grill. That will make the cars 240% better

Well , drive a electric car in cold whether. You will lose range and power. Also electric cars annoyingly have no sound. And electric cars don't have the great top end of a ICE powered car.
A Hybrid gets you best of both worlds.
A B58 powered hybrid sports car should be tried by BMW.

Dear BMW - get rid for the blue elements. Please make the car look like a normal X3. I would never buy these electric cars if they so much worse than the normal cars. A reason the Audi e-tron is the best selling SUV is because it looks like their normal SUVs outside and also on the inside. But I am a BMW fan so please correct the design so people will buy a lot more of these cars.
I ordered it with frosted silver accents instead of blue, you can just configure the blue parts out. (Except the blue ring around the logo, but that’s fine)
Blue elements are optional and can be changed to aluminium-silver for no extra charge.

Also the top speed is just 200mph , a number which BMWs achieve way back in 2005(E60 M5), so congrats to Tesla for being 16 years late. The newer M5s( if 190 kmph speed limiter is removed) will reach 200+ mph speed , while still giving the thrill of a V8.

I bought BMW shares not only because of the iX3 tests. Calculate:
(1) book value plus
(2) profits plus
(3) huge hidden reserves.
The highly conservative book value in Germany is allready higher than the market capitalization and thus the share price far too low. Just calculate and compare. BMW is IMHO a Multibagger. Compare BMW to Tesla! Tenbagger?
