There is really nothing they can "upgrade" on especially on an entry level device. Like i have always said, phone tech has peaked, even Apple found it hard to make a distinct difference between the iPhone 15 Pro max and the newly released iPhone 16 Pro max. So if flagship devices are finding it hard to have new exciting new features, there is absolutely no hope mid range and entry level devices, will see dramatic changes, at least for the next 2 to 3 years.
Actually, I disagree. Entry level and midrange phones are the ones that have a lot of room for improvement unlike the flagship. It doesn't have to be dramatic on design, but they leave a lot on the table when it comes to cameras, optimisation and overall performance. For this particular device, it could've had higher display refresh rate. It could also benefit from faster ufs storage instead of Emmc. The software could've brought some of the basic missing features. These are not flagship features that require an advanced processor. But in all, let's just say the brands understand the market more than we do. Cos their decisions leads to sales regardless. We can only continue to demand more, but there's always better when you consider options or just increase your budget.
@izziboye As much as it would be nice to have 90hz display and ufs 2.1 on a phone like this I don't really expect such features from an A0x tier phone from, especially from Samsung with all the perks that come with it. This is the kind of phone you'd buy for your 9yr old who's desperate to own a smartphone. It's a simple phone that's easy to monitor. Plus phones like these really sell in rural areas (especially in 3rd world countries) where people aren't well off. They just need a cheap, well-functioning and reliable enough phone to simply stay connected to the rest of the world or to assist them in carrying out their small businesses and the A0x phones are simply perfect for that. The people obsessing over specsheets won't be looking in this category for anything. And if this is the highest category someone is financially capable of managing then they should get their priorities straight. It's like going to a 1-star hotel and wondering why the service isn't 3-stars.
@@izziboye The last paragraph epitomises my point exactly. The OEM understands the market perfectly knowing these entry level devices will sell regardless and they will really see no need to upgrade on them, instead just trickle these upgrades to the next higher priced devices, and so if you would really want these "upgrades", you'd have to up your budget, a win-win scenario for them. If they bring all you listed, like higher refresh rates, improved software optimization and camera improvements on entry level devices, it leaves little wiggle room for an improved profit margin across the board for them.
Agreed, but people will always have expectations. The comments on my unboxing videos are filled with those complaining of the the lack of some of these features, especially the software ones. And the fact that the competition offers some of it, they'll naturally want it from their preferred brand. As you've said and I mentioned in the video, the target audience really won't mind. Only the enthusiasts with a low budget will bother
Watching this with Samsung a06, got it a day before yesterday at 162k. It looks good though and a bit fast, but if you're looking for a good camera it's a great disappointment.
@vicoyoroyibo6361 Redmi phones camera at the price range is clear bro, even an iPhone 6s camera is better than the phone and I'm not even exaggerating.
@iamolaoluwa now that's not true. I helped a friend of mine get that phone 2 days ago, and the camera is pretty decent. Well, these things are perspective and it's relative
Got mine yesterday, i expected low performance but good quality as Samsung I’m an iPhone guy , I just wanted a second phone again I got mine yesterday I hate the fact it’s an lcd display

Im actually watching on my galaxy a05 which i got 13 sept and i have to say it not worth upgrading to this but the a05 is a decent device for normal daily use, im a gamer and a content creator and the fact that it doesn't cone with a screen record is so disappointing i uad to download a screen recording app but every time i use it i lag alot and i tried streaming game with this device OMG i dont advice anyone to do it if u want ur phone to live long but aside that its good faster than the a06 according to what am seeing and i play free fire on standard graphics but i do experience small lags and my storage it already full So if u want a daily use the phone is okay but not for performance and its also discourage me for d a05s i think the redmi is the better choice but the fact the a05s uses a snapdragon chipset OMG thats insane. So guys im talking from my own experience
Nice one I increased my budget & got the galaxy A15 instead I saw samsung care plus on about phone, when trying register, every info was in place, imei, email, phone number etc except for one, it's asking for ID Number, i did put my NIN but it wasn't it, any idea what that might be? Cheers!
The target audience won't care about the shortcomings cause it's a samsung phone, its a entry-level phone anyways....Definitely got its perks
Itel and Tecno have more shortcomings than Samsung. At least, Samsung is giving OS upgrades
@@danteerskine7678Samsung is Samsung itel is itel , that’s what people don’t know
