I really don't know why, but for some reason the instrumentals for this song give me Ghost Recon and Battlefield vibes.
I tell u the secret. It goes past ghost recon vibe. The ~4 main instrumental tracks used for this song are: simple right minimal percussion, rolling nostalgic bubbly bassline, nostalgic lonely high guitar notes, a brass instrument with reverb like a trumpet to fill in the remaining gaps. This is written sounds like a minor key, , maybe B flat? Minor keys are associated with invoking nostalgic sad melancholy reflective emotion, something like driving in the city at night at 4 am. Same as ghost recon, you’re out there with your team in unknown territory doing things, all alone, hustling and surviving / doing missions. Wondering when you can finally get home to your friends and family. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. And very often, this arrangement of instruments is really hard to artificially make, it’s very natural sounding as this entire sample was taken from a jam track from RHCP - pretty little ditty. I have always wanted to hear this song with absolutely no vocals! I always liked the music, but could never enjoy the lyrics, and didn't like their voices.
