Although I didn't really save much money...(was wondering to myself if there is less barakah there). I'll return insha-Allah, it has a lot going for it, and Europe has lost it's way. To me, its not much point to go to the mid East if your not near a masjid.
Alaikumsalaam.. so far we haven't been able to save much due to the moving/settlement cost for the first few months of being here. BUT ever since we moved here, we have been able to provide for family members/siblings who are in need more than we ever had before. My husband used to work in Singapore and it was a nice city but it's very hard to find toilets with bidets and some places don't make prayer rooms as priority. It's such a blessing to enjoy clean, beautiful and luxurious public toilets and prayer rooms here in Dubai 😊
@@fadiafarid Asalaam alaikum sister to you and your husband! Jummah Mubarak! That's the thing i really miss, salatul Jummah in the mid East. You've made an amazing video. Wow! Great job! The electricity bill that you get, for how many hours is the AC inside the house ON? You have a cat, can it tolerate the heat there ?
Thank you! That’s so nice of you to say! Our apartment comes with free centralized AC. So the electricity bill excludes AC usage. It really varies based on months. I would say that from May-September is Dubai’s version of summer so AC is on almost all day, our foster cat was fine (he got adopted Nov last year). November through January is “winter”, I didn’t switch on the AC at all. February to April is sunny but windy throughout the day, not hot at all.
Hi Fadia! Great video!! Quick question, whats the price of the studio apartment now & whats the area? And is payment made for full 1 year in advance? Price you mentioned is cheaper than what ive been browsing thru propertyfinder. Thankss!
Hello Nicholas 👋🏻 I think it’s upwards of AED38k/year now but our landlord is kind enough to not increase our rent this year so it’s still 28k for us. In our case, we get to split the payment into 6 cheques. All cheques are collected during key handover but the landlord cashes in the individual cheque every two months. I think I explain it better in this video ruclips.net/video/CkZXrEZUIlY/видео.htmlsi=inkFz8-Lz7L-OjwA Also, we’re in Jabal Ali

I’m not sure about the salary range of your industry but in terms of living cost, I would say, ask for 20k and above since you have a kid because the tuition fee is quite costly. That way, you’ll be able to save some money as well, and not living pay-check to pay-check
We aren't sure how much because we don't have children yet. Try joining Facebook group for expats community in Dubai, some of them might be able to share the cost based on their area and children age
Is it real to find apartment for 640 usd nowadays? I am making search and the cheapest option is about 1100 usd per month (studio apt). I think info is outdated and not actual for now. Please correct if I am wrong.
My husband signed our tenancy contract in May 2022 for this place that we’re living in. I’d say that it’s still possible for that price in selected locations like Sharjah, Deira etc that are not too central. We’re in the Jebel Ali industrial area so there’s not much here in terms of convenience store and entertainment but very accessible to the metro.
Assalamoalaykum. JazakAllah khair, very informative. May I know please what company you guys are using for medical insurance 550 AED per month including optical?

Unless you work outdoors, you'd hardly feel it. October onwards the weather gets cooler so my husband and I stop using our AC. Hi, I'm ethical hacker freelancer my working place at my home i do work international market like upwork and fiverr etc. i just want to live in UAE. So can i live in uae as a freelancer ? Thanks so much
I have limited knowledge on the freelancing matter. What I do know is, if you’re not employed by any companies in the UAE, you have to either pay your rent in full by bank transfer or have someone be your guarantor
