mrfroboto1 I was actually referring to the dancing plague of 1518.
@@freyja8384 that's what I mean. It was also called the dance of death if I remember correctly. I could be wrong though
When one just arrived home from a siege and is resighned to drinking away the sorrows in the tavern, but Hildeguard is on the lute and plays this absolute banger.
There is so much plague in this world, but tonight, not in this tavern.
Imagine lady Hildegard travels back in time and plays this in an inn. Everyone listening would be beyond confused with this type of music.
They'd probably be like: What is this witchcraft? Eh... I like it anyway
Fr this composition would be so foreign to them
They’d probably be going nuts
I actually like doing this with songs, I imagine how people would react in the past and it allows my brain to enjoy a song longer than usual.
camunier underrated comment
Now all I can imagine is a “Never Gonna Give You Up” bardcore style, because these are amazing
I know it’s probably already been done but nobody needs this kind of evil spoken into reality.
@@thomashatchett5869 🤣🤣🤣
We need this to happen, if it hasn't been done already.
@@nygarmik there is a version just put Never gonna give you up old english
So much better than the original. Imagine what Lady Hildegard could do with “I’m too sexy for my shirt”.
I'm too sexy for my corset LOL
Blu Jay I am fulsome ravishing for mine bodice.
This must happen
I am far too attractive to wear'st mine cloths
@@blujay1608 as corsets weren't around prior to the Victorian era, the proper article of clothing would be
A shift
Or if they were males, a tunic
Love the little detail of "The Roxbury Tavern " in the video picture.
Nobody got this probaply.
Just Googled it. I see, thanks :-)
@@dracometeors3010 Oh I did, I know my old school SNL.
I hope, eventually, 'Africa' by Toto will come soon.
Omg that would be the BEST
There's two of them in the playlist already. Didn't listen to them yet though.
Please!!!!!!!!!!
YES
Or maybe not. Medievel brits realizing africa doesn't sound like a nice idea. Lol
I lost it at the 'nonny nonny noooo' interlude 😂👏🏻
I can fully say that I was not prepared lmao
'Lady thou woundest my heart'
Ahh, nostalgia of first heartbreak back in the 1400s.
I am a singing teacher, and have just assigned a cover of your version to 2 of my students :)
This and the other vocal cover need to come together on a medieval collab.
@@Hildegardvonblingin So how is it now?
I feel like I would hear this in a Shrek movie.
I think that the world need a Shrek movie right now. Perhaps a live action remake of the first, because why not.

i want that as my text notification lol
They may as well because I see that they brought the bubonic plague back into the world recently 🙄😒
jrmetmoi never left.
My mom says it when her grandchildren get into cupboards in the kitchen.
gives me goosebumps everytime
Having spent most of the last 24 hours listening to Bardcore, this is the finest offering there is. My hat is off to ye!!!
The voice. The lyrics. And yes the arrangement. Too much joy. I die in bliss.

Seriously underrated comment.

Another One Biteth the Dust.
@@emperorpicard7222 would be amazing
@@pinkbunny6272 I'd prefer the original. Better for singing while doing chest compressions during CPR.
This is what happens when someone forgets their mobile phone whilst time travelling.
Bahaha. Well done!
Or, like in Bioshock Infinite, rifts in alternate realities. The 1900 (ish) version of "Fortunate Son" was interesting.
@@revpembroke3082 Bioshock Infinite was truly a gem!
Remembering singing "Hey Nonny Nonny No" style lyrics in Choir back in the day for a Medieval Medley and feeling sort of silly. I STAND CORRECTED! She makes it, like, super cool!!!! *Note to my younger self....You didn't know what you had at the time! Yay Choir Director for introducing us to this style of music!!!! You were ahead of your time....or....behind the times....not sure which is applicable here...LOL
No one's even gonna mention the fact that they're going into the Roxbury Tavern?
I noticed and I thought it was the best part of the video
What’s that?
Oh shit you're right. I didn't see that!

i feel like im in middle school up at 3am trying to cure my early onset existentialism with niche genres of music again. And what a mood it is.
Tip: find something competitive your good at :)
Try existentialism from 6-9
I love how well this version is done and I really appreciate how different people have come about with their own style. I really love how this sounds like a genuine translation of the lyrics especially with female vocals makes it sound super surreal. I find the_miracle_aligner
version is also just as brilliant even with with how "incorrect" words are translated because songs like these aren't supposed to be super serious either. Happy to have a community form under Sir Cornelius Link, just as with the comments section of the Medieval Party Mix :>
Most people: WAP controversy!
Meanwhile, we be over here like: "Nonny Nonny NONNY NOOOOOOOO"
Medieval WAP someone needs to sing this one lmao ruclips.net/video/uj89IV8VCsw/видео.html
Anyone: I listen to all kinds of music.
Me: Have you heard of Bardcore?
*point towards this channel*
Seriously, you were the first I heard, and now this is slowly becoming one of my favorite genres...
Sadly a lot of channels are cashing in and ruining the movement with their very synthesized sounding modern instruments.
Can you imagine a DJ shouting out that they're going to play some real old skool and dropping this? That would be immense!
"Alack, I beseech."
Must find ways to incorporate that into daily conversations.
😂🤣
I cannot stop laughing
Wonderful! Not only for recreating the music in a medieval fashion, but more than that, THE LYRICS!
I love that her name is Hildegard von Blingin'
Only 1130s kids will get the reference 😂
Hildegard von Blingin' is now a bard and her troupe in my DnD games.
Ah yes. It’s good to know that I wasn’t the only one to think of doing this.
Dont forget Cornelius Link ;)
I now finally have a way of making all my favourite songs Canon...
Fuckin right?!
My players are gonna have a fuckin blast next time they get to rest at tavern!
now all we need is the car head bobbing meme replaced with a horse and cart.

Your voice is truly heavenly, my lady. As if the angels themselves grace us with their presence.
