- 3 Medium- Large Sized Sweet Potatoes
- 9” Deep Dish Pie Crust
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1/4 Cup Melted Salted Butter
- 1/4 Cup Half & Half
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar
- 3 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
- 1 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 Tsp All Spice
- 1/4 Tsp Ground Ginger
- Lemon Juice to Taste

Y’all…… I can’t. I can’t even get the pie filling in the pie crust shells, bc it’s so good. I dipped my spoon one quick time to taste it and why I do that? Baby I made this sweet potato pie for the first time for Thanksgiving. I was so scared nobody would like it. But let me tell you something. Them 4 pies was gone. EVERYBODY loved it. My baby girl waited until everybody was gone to sleep and went in the kitchen and got half the pie and took it to her bedroom to finish eating it.🤣🤣 she really enjoyed it. So I'm making more for Christmas 2022. 🥰

I love this woman's voice. It's so funny & welcoming. She takes the terror out of making a sweet potato pie for anyone wanting to try making one. I've made many, but I wanted to try a different one this year. Last year for Thanksgiving I made her red velvet cake & it was da bomb, as the kids say. I’m ashamed to say but I’m facing homelessness, I lost my job as a social worker for not taking the vaccine it’s been two months. I’m battling lupus and heart disease I’m already on a bunch of medications including blood thinners so that’s why I declined. I’m a single mother. I feel so alone. I have two beautiful boys who are autistic it’s so challenging for me because they’re both nonverbal. I’m struggling to provide for them and myself. My husband passed away three years ago. I miss him dearly. Please keep me in your prayers. Because I’m losing hope. But I have faith God will provide!

Looks good, but, as far as the seasonings I only use Vanilla, & Nutmeg, and a very little fresh lemon juice (no cinnamon, allspice, or ginger).

@dinahyahuda7121 The texture is soft but not like undercooked soft, more like Fluffy. This is the ONLY sweet potato pie I'll eat. I've made is soooo many times. Every place I bring it is gone FIRST.

The pie is beautiful! I do all of this for my pie except lemon. Why do so many ppl put lemon in sweet potato pie???? I also use sweetened condensed milk. And prebake my crust so it won’t taste doughy.
