Today, Link & Rargh go head to head in a battle of attrition. We start with 27 manta rays and we are only allowed to heal with that food. No other healing methods allowed. Every time we change monsters, we must then fight a monster of a higher combat level than the last. After we either lose all of our HP, or when the timer runs out, we gear up and then we fight!
Full list of rules:
-Start with nothing on with con cape and 27 manta rays in inventory (can bank if needed for space but can only use 27).
-Cannot use prayer & cannot regen hp in house.
-Can kill any monster you want, but must kill them in increasing level order.
-Ex. If you kill a level 25 monster and want to move on, the next monster must be 26 or higher. Can never go backwards
-Your progression ends when you die (run out of food) or if your timer runs out on the clock.
-Can't flinch monsters, must be attacked for every monster.
-Can skill with drops, no tools provided, no shops
-3 hours on the clock.
-Revs banned
-Fountain of rune allowed for spells like jewelry/tanning
-Can't use food/pots you get during progression, only in fight

@@DarquesseLFT same. its fun but, limited to the main story line coz it caps you daily. good in the sense newer players are able to progress and catch up to you and help with dungeons BUT. not fun when you want to progress and you just cant.

Having zero Prayer almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
I really liked this challenge both for limiting types of monsters, ascending, and resources for it. Could easily extend this in other directions too, although if I remember right, you’ve done similar things for house tabs in the past. Maybe could do a certain number of ppots.
One interesting thing could be limit monster killed by having to be a greater combat level than the minute into the challenge you are. So have to kill things less than level 60 before end of the hour, etc etc

you should have a 24 hour special when you get to episode 100 where you fight a boss 1 hour and swap to another after the hour would be amazing!

Loved the intro and concept of this challenge one of the more creative ones
Let me cook for a second. I very much enjoy your guys series fights where you start at lvl 3 and such because it has much more weight behind each win and the finale fight. It would be super easy to incorporate a simple win loss system either semi annually or annually for your 1 off then we fights, put some sort of reward for the winner or loser has to *fill in the blank*
Love the content as always and keep up the good work!
Also, instead of a 1 win= 1 point you could make it so you score points based off of the amount of food remaining in the winners inventory, that way in this episode for example since you blew out link you would have scored a ton of points. Take it with a grain of salt but I think it’s a neat concept anyway!
and maybe a set number of points for getting a KO before the other player is out of food to encourage spec weapons and not just the spec dump at the beginning to start recharging spec energy. The fights might be a little bit more dynamic! Ok I’m done now I’ll shut up 😂

I usually kill the snakes on Fossil Island for Snakeskin. Lower drop-rate but they don't poison and barely hit; though maybe it was faster to go ghosts and then those Snakes.

my guy, its been 2 weeks. you have an editor. what is taking so damn long with the videos? They're so consistently inconsistent for being done as a full time job it blows my mind.
as much as i'd like new content, pretty sure they are going to wait for good sponsors since it's their jobs. They don't do it for free. But there's probably a happy-medium to uploading regular to keep the channel alive. Hopefully they are in tune with the algorithms
@@ryans.8814 that’s not how that works. They are RUclips creators and therefore get paid by said company. The sponsorships are in addition to view and like payment. Video upload > views/likes > payment. Less videos with poor uploading consistency = less recommended video = less views and likes = less chance of sponsorship. By your theory they will shortly not be uploading at all anymore. It’s straight up lazy. Not to mention the fact the fact that if given effort, one of their videos can be cranked out in an hour and sent to the editor in 15 minutes. It’s the equivalent of missing work for 2 weeks at this point

I’d go more back and fourth between perspectives during the challenge a lot more. Every 5-10 mins on the timers. And then from the moment u meet at the end in edge we need both invys on screen.

No, just less ads so we spend time doing other things since we have the opportunity to do so. There's no deep implication as to why the videos are slower. I am also working on something here and there behind the scenes which has been taking up some time as well. Using the slow ads to make better content and not just spam videos weekly

Wasn’t the combat levels supposed to be in ascending order? Ogress warriors (lvl 82) to brine rats? Combat lvl 70? Back to ogress warriors? Am I not understanding the rules of this one?

I know you guys get a lot of ideas thrown at you, but 2 hours of pickpocketing then use what you get to kill mobs for gear for another 2 hours. Bloodshard gives a bloodfury, crystal teleport seed gives a bowfa or armor peice. ect.

Have you guys done a “random event reward only” challenge. 100 random event rewards then you fight.
Trying this again despite knowing how boring barrow episodes are to record - Barrows but one drop unlocks the whole set, karil's bolt racks count for karil and rune drops count for ahrim BUT you must get all the ammo you are going to use for the fight through the barrows chests. Dragon med helm can be used as a wild card to unlock any melee brother. If you get multiple sets you can trade in a set to upgrade your food, e.g. swordfish -> monkfish -> karambwan -> shark -> manta. For commenters, the expectation is that Rargh and Link will for sure unlock Karil/Ahrim and hopefully get 1 or 2 melee brothers as well, making tribrid possible.

@@Rargh I think with the time limit and the fact you can't go back after progressing makes ice trolls a clean play. Regenning hp as well since it is such a time waste
