“I know,” said the man, flashing a predator’s toothy grin - “That’s why you come here, right? To be scared? Being scared is fun. That’s why you all went on the rides! But you didn’t go on mine. And no one can scare you like I can, Kira? Nothing will scare you like what I can SHOW you? Once you SEE what can BE - NOTHING ELSE WILL MATTER.”
Dan knocks it out of the park with not one but two amazingly haunting tales. He begins with the tale of the man for Taured. This story explores the concepts of the multiverse, an idea explored by many people. Could it be possible that our lives as we know them are only iteration of our lives? What would you do if everything you knew to be true, to be fact, was taken away from you? It's such a bizarre concept to dig into a new topic for some big creep factor on Scared To Death. It's Dan's second story that throws Lynze into a tizzy. Have you ever been in an amusement park and felt yourself overcome with fear of being lost? Or worse, being kidnapped? This story has so many layers of scares, there is no way you listen to it and get a good nights rest.
Lynze brings three stories this week for a smattering of shadow people tales. Which of the three is the most horrifying? Probably the first tale. The story might be short and sweet but the photograph as the end is haunting. Story two and three don't necessarily pack in a ton of spoops but they will make you question what shadow people are, why they might be here and how their world works.

This episode randomly popped up in my feed again tonight! MY STORY is the first one that Lynze tells - that photo gives me chills to this day, and I originally saw it over 15 years ago.... the first time my friend showed it to me made me DESPERATE to explore her old house when I went to visit (which I did - and was disappointed to not see any shadow people, despite talking to them as I was walking around!)! I wonder to this day, if the current owners see or experience anything...

You two are by far the best podcast. Scared to death is what I listen to every single night while I fall asleep. You guys forget the people who sent you something but I was thinking. I’m sure a lot of us would like a channel of you guys doing a mail time or unboxing type thing. Just a thought. Would be pretty cool and most likely funny to watch.

Wow! He's starts singing Rocky Point and I started singing with him!!! It was a real amusement park in R.I. with that exact sounding song!!!!!!! We use to sneak in through the train ride or jump on the skylines when it came into the woods to turn around you had to climb rocks and jump up high!!!!!

He pulled me in and it scared the shit out of me, but the cave actually ends at a gift shop with some scary yet amusing gag gifts that you can share with the whole family.
Also, surprisingly, there’s a Twistee Treats just outside that end of the cave where anyone who went through the cave receives a 15% discount off ANY item!

My wife introduced me to your show. We downloaded several from Spotify so we could listen to them as we crossed the mountains.
We listened to this while taking Rt 410 over Chinook Pass this last weekend (June 19, 2022). Your show makes great listening when covered by tree canopies.
We also live in Coeur d'Alene. Also, as a teen (age 12-16) I lived in the Cleveland area. I was all over Cedar Point and Geauga Lake, which was across the lake from one of the version s of Sea World. Geauga Lake had that medium/small amusement park feeling to it. The previous four years we lived in Kansas City, Missouri, which had a similar amusement park, "Worlds of Fun." Worlds of Fun has grown with the times, and has a sister water-park, "Oceans of Fun."
I personally am a pretty huge HP Lovecraft fan, and have made the pilgrimage to Providence a few times. Now I have another destination in Rhode Island as well.

I feel like when your little you get a fear of being separated from your parents. As an adult it becomes a fear of loosing your kids.
Last weekend I got to see my two nieces who are 3 and 7 now and the 3 year old mentioned that she was sad that my dad (her grandpa) didn’t come visit her anymore. He died a few years before she was born. It’s so wild how many different incidents of my dad communicating with my nieces and nephews there are, since he died I have no doubt of the after life.

Alternate realities freak me out lol and yet it's sad to think of what different me's are going through. I went through weird times, odd hobbies, times where I had super bad feelings and didn't go somewhere, bad exes, ect. Like omg it's so bizarre to think about that stuff 😨 makes me appreciate this reality!😅

I think I listen too hard. But I also laugh really hard when I hear things like that. Then there's a 15-minute recovery period, and time for typing comments. The most impressive thing is how Dan just trndled on through, eithout any betrayal of the event. It was like it never happened.
I was listening to this podcast while I was at work and after the Mr. Fun story was over my radio in my work van started acting weird and my phone shut off for no reason. Ever since then the theme song has been stuck in my head and I have been having a hard time sleeping. Think my mind is playing tricks because I have seen dark figures in my house and every where I go. Freaked out!
Ive listened/watched thos episode countless times and and build up to her meeting Mr. Fun still kakes my body tense up. The mere fact the entity decides to take form of a clown is a big nope from me.

The first story reminds me of the earlier STD tale about the boy that disappeared right outside his home: when his footsteps in the snow just ended with no sign of disturbance, and how at times his mother could faintly hear his calls for help... so sad that something like this could happen.

Love the first story about Torrid. I've had possible, similar experiences. Not near as severe, more like disappearing for short periods of time. I'll see if I can write it up and send it in. Not really scary, just odd.
Kings Island still exists. You should look into the history of why it got the name. The rumor I heard is it was built on the land of a Native Chief's land and the local population considered him a "King". I've heard the King's Island is where he made his last stand.... I'm sure it's just shite but... If it's not, who knows. I believe the Brady Bunch filmed an episode there too.

Perhaps the jingle is like a spell for Mr. Fun. It literally says, "It makes you come alive." That would explain why the neice started dreaming of it afterwards and why the Aunt's dreams started up again after so many years of nothing. She heard the jingle again.

I have some EXTREMELY scary stuff that has happened to me over the years. I have thought about sending at least one story in but…. Can I stand to remember all that stuff? Eek! It’s so damn scary and 100% true. I have worked on NOT having the “gift” for many, many years now. I don’t want it. It’s a pain in the ass and I am always amazed that there are people that want that type of stuff in their lives. It sucks. Anyhow…. It’s been my entire life until I started blocking it out and putting up walls, but I do have some of the scariest experiences that would make insane stories to tell tbh. Maybe I will be able to write it down and you can decide what, if any, of my insane experiences you want to share. Maybe lol! I am still after many years afraid to even walk through those memories.
My husband NEVER believed in anything and laughed at anyone that did…. Until we were married. Being with me and the fact that stuff happened around me, he couldn’t deny that there’s definitely something unexplainable. He knows I block and repress it.
