You're very talented with your hands and a deadeye with a slingshot. You should wear safety glasses when grinding and shooting. Even the rubber tubing can break and hit you in the eye and cause permanent damage.
Easy to do? I clearly see some heavy duty tools, firing, chemicals, machines, etc. I still prefer the Stone, Iron, and Bronze age sling shot made from a simple tree branch: it takes nothing but a dull knife and 20 minutes of light cutting and whittling. I will be able to out shoot her, much faster, with 1/10 of the material cost & time invested, given the same rubber materials of course. However, I still am impressed that a girl would take to making such a creative slingshot, though. That should be admired, for sure.
Lightly forging the metal hardens it and prevents it from bending. The short tangs are strong, and the band she uses is a soft, ultra flex rubber which wouldn't stress the metal much at all. When I make mine, I prefer a far higher tension on my rubber, as I pull my projectile to my chin.

its good. u should try spearfishing rubbers. this is a toy, the one i use is a gun (can take lives) . the finger stance is GREAT. im using 80% the same way to make them. this is really good

It is a fine slingshot but there is no way on this earth I would have that cord near my eyes without eye protection. All it would take is for that cord to snap in the wrong place and you are blinded in one or both eyes. For your own protection wear eye shields just in case the rubber band thing snaps. Your cheek may heal but the eyes won't, they are soft and fragile so take care of them.
