Do you have a cover that has a T?

I purchased mine as a kit, and it only came with the channels and the mast head. I’m not sure if you can purchase a T for it but I have not looked.

Check your copper line sets that white ISO POLAR insulation is causing an acidic climate when wet that creates pin holes in the copper. I pulled out a run and put up a video of it leaking through little pin holes over a 15 ft span. Still have another 160 Ft to pull out and the suppliers and manufacturers are trying to hide the failure and pass costs on to you.

Wow really? The unit is brand new. What do you recommend replacing it with?

@@RighttothePointDIY I would check under your insulation and see wether it is turning black -brown-or green. There are a few videos including one I put up showing what it looks like. If yours is new I would check it as copper should not be changing color so fast. If it’s accessible I would keep an eye on it and replace it at the first sign off corrosion. One video shows a tach using PH test strips to check the ph is not below 6.5 anything in the 5 to 6 PH range is acidic. I have facility’s that are still using the original line sets after 20 years so this is far from acceptable.

@@ride-it-outtimandtoni232 This is good information. I still would like to know what you would recommend replacing it with?

@@RighttothePointDIY For myself I’m removing all my line set for each zone and replacing with new copper wrapped with black elastomeric insulation because my system is 1 1/2 years old and the copper has failed. If your system has the white ISO Polar type insulation but is new and shows no sign of an issue they may have figured out the problem and corrected it. I would still keep and eye on your copper and make sure it’s not corroding. At any point over the next year it starts to look like mine I would remove the insulation, or just play it safe now and remove the insulation and replace with black elastomeric if it’s accessible and a short run.

@@ride-it-outtimandtoni232 Thank you very much for the advice. I literally have only had the unit in for two months so I will monitor it as you say.
