- In the first part of this series, I discuss the different options and turbo kits available to the Fiat/NH 110-90 and how they differ, and why I went with the option of using a turbo from a New Holland 8340.
For this conversion I'm using the 130-90 manifold that I collected from MDE Agri Parts in Kesh in Co. Fermanagh.
The turbo was bought second hand from Sam Cole who specialises in Fords / New Hollands in Nixon's Corner, between Derry/Londonderry and Letterkenny.
I also fitted a set of UTV headlights as a little easter egg as the standard Fiat headlights were terrible!
Part 1 finishes with the delivery of the reconditioned turbo.
Honestly this is a breath of fresh air really easy to watch please keep it going and the podcast
great video mike we need more videos like this alongside the pod good work keep it up
Got an old 5140 with the Cummins 5,9 turned up to 164@ shaft smokes well and pulls harder💪
Good job hope to see more of these kinda videos 📹
Putting a dribble bar on the star after this....
Never say never but let's say never for now..
Hi my name is Declan O Shaughnessy Tubber County Galway first of all I am retired from farming as I have a long term illness and suffer from epilepsy for over 30 years and can't drive ever again before my epilepsy kicked in was driving when I was young went through a ford 6610 force 2 /2wd and a Fiat New Holland 110-90 dt 30km gearbox bought my tractor at the time from Declan Geary Garage in O Rourkes Cross Limerick and while still driving use to get all my supplies from a genius Mike Garahy in birr Co Offaly a brilliant man with Fiat Agri tractors as I am gone from driving and farming the fiat 110-90 dt engine is 5861cc iveco engine I knew the fiat tractor front to back my self even after going through brain surgery health is wealth love your comments great tractor as reliable as could be brilliant tractor cheers Declan O Shaughnessy
Really enjoyed this
Great video lad. We done our 110 here. Really made a tractor out of her. Might be worth considering a oil cooler unit under the oil filter closer to the cab. Bit of pipe work involved but will keep the oil from getting burnt out.
Tbf there's nothing wrong with keeping things cool. At a later stage I'd consider intercooling this thing and an oil cooler as well. I'd run the oil cooler right up to the front of it tho rather than below the cab?
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous about your machine. Drove many 110s in the past and ran them hard. I put the needle up on them when under stress so worth considering a bit of cooling help I’d say. Both coolant and oil
Quick question with the engine upgrade to turbo as you put a Garret turbo was it best first option to a holset turbo and obviously by dynoametering shaft on pto 1000rpm roughly what did pto spec give you would it be same as 130-90dt spec and from flywheel back had a stronger clutch disc and dual clutch pack to take torque loading just getting info is dt tractor 40k/m which I assume thanks for all the info us past fiat drivers love the work you have done they are so simple a tractor to manage they have their flaws but great heart in them👍👍cheers Declan
You'll hear me talk about the Holset in future episodes. Especially when we get more into the nitty gritty.
It's hard to say if it's anything different to the 130-90, you've a beefed up back end and the pistons are different in the engine. I'm not sure if the 110-90 clutch is different than a 130-90 to be honest!
@limitedslipdifferences cheers for info as well I am long since retired from farming now because I have epilepsy 30 years and had brain surgery and have not driven in years as my license is gone with my epilepsy and had the tractor years ago but it's sure was a beauty 👍👍👍

Love the justification
Very well explained
Interesting video
Where did you get the small beam lights in the front ?
I think they came from Kennedy's in Ballymena! At the time they were £47 each
Just wondering would them headlights fit a Massey 4355 and how much are they
You're talking 200 or so with the kit
@ thanks
It's agricultural david Egan lol only joking lad Love the videos
Here - I will take that one 😂😂
@limitedslipdifferences lol keep up the good work lad
I can't imagine putting a turbo of a 7.5 litre engine on a 5.9 litre will work that well..that's from 25 years experience as a mechanic
fiat f140 has a 5.9 litre and runs a t04 turbo so will work not a problem
And yet.. works really well
How mechanic dose not know that turbo as diesel go's strong? Engine size dose not mean any thing same engine can have 3 or 4 diffrent power outputs with 3 or more diffrent setups n/a, turbo, intercooled or big fuel system.
sweet fiat, would be interested to know where you got them smaller extra headlights from?
Near sure they came from Kennedy's in Ballymena!
Sleeping beauty awakes 💪
... I would see what it is doing on a dino before you. fit the turbo if it is above the factory figures I would be inclined to put it back to those figures before fitting a turbo ..........the candle that burns twice as bright lasts half as long .....
I wanted to do this as well because she was well at herself before I turbo'd herself but I work away a lot and couldn't get the time
If ya turbo her she won't breath fire through the stack on a uphill draw at night
Probably not to be honest. But at least I won't have to drop gears as much
