This was actually a surpricingly good video, you relly did some research. Your visit here must have been very recently, as "Rådhustorvet" in front of the old city hall have just been renovated to this looks, there used to be steps, where those statues originally were placed. Next time you are here, take a trip to Skyttehuset and the Northerm Forrest. Nature is one of the things, that makes Vejle beautiful. Unfortunately a lot of old buildings in the center have been demolished since the 1970's, which means loss of a lot of history.
Hej Henrik, thank you so much - it's always good to be a nice surprise 😀We got to visit Vejle in early May and we were lucky with great weather. Next time we will DEFINITELY do more of the nature around the fjord, we missed the chance this time because we had a lot planned.
my birth town :) .. i was baptized at the St. Nicolaj. you should have been at the city part Uhrhøj (Tour de France Goes through there btw.) but there is a view point there where you can see most if not all of Vejle city and Vejle Å-dal. Find the street/ Road Grønningen and where it meets the forrest go towards right and like 100m down you are at the view point :) just a little "native" tip.
@@RobeTrotting Aww, well next time maybe :) If you plan on going to Vejle again - You can be sure that I'll be there to shake your hands and take pics :p
Hint to learning how to pronounce, Æ, Ø, Å.... (my advice anyway....).. You know the song, "Hey Yah" with... Ohh I forgot.., "black eyed peas" ... or maybe "Outcast"... Anyway.. the "Hey Yeah" chorus is perfect training those vocal chords.. 👍😁
Thanks Tim! We definitely won’t stop trying. I think when we use English but insert one Danish word the pronunciation sounds bad, but when we try to actually speak in Danish sentences it’s a little better 🙏 🇩🇰
I like your video but I still think Vejle is boring even if I lived there for a while. maybe try aarhus who has a lot of history or Fredericia which has an interesting cultural history. it is the place where french refugees setled after been given the town by the king. There is a hotel close to the harbour, Hotel Postgården, who has a charming interiour and delicious cakes. Ebeltoft is an old and charming town with varied museums.
All I can say about the 'bad danish' is more that english is more flowey in the words. Danish contains a lot of 'half-stops' so to speak in a word. like Dannebrog. Danne Brog. I think if 'American' was a danish word, it's be Ameri Can. Cuz we do have a tendency to have that half-waythrough re-adding of pressure to a lot of words more than 4 or so letters. so if you think you might be a bit 'heavy' on the word, you might just barely be giving it enough 'pressure', so to speak.
The last part sounds a bit Trump-like 😝 When you say, »Tak, fordi I så med (Thank you for watching along)!«, it sounds like: »Tak, fordi I så mig (Thank you seeing me)!«
I'm from Kolding (approximately 18,6 miles from Vejle), and that is a equally beautiful city to visit. Mostly famous for Koldinghus Castle and the mall. But it's so much more. It's absolutely beautiful and worth a visit
What you also should have done was to rent a Bicycle and drive West trough Vejle Ådal (Vejle River Wally) towards Bindeballe and Vandel, then you would have seen the true "alps" of Denmark.
As a dane, i appreciate your videos on so many levels. And as a bonus, i get to learn more about my own country 🙂

Nicolaj.
you should have been at the city part Uhrhøj (Tour de France Goes through there btw.)
but there is a view point there where you can see most if not all of Vejle city and Vejle Å-dal.
Find the street/ Road Grønningen and where it meets the forrest go towards right and like 100m down you are at the view point :) just a little "native" tip.
I recommend visiting Juelsminde
Ah yes. Vejle. I've been there on a number of occasions.
If you ever want to check out Aalborg my GF and I will gladly show you around :)
Oh man, I'm so bummed I didn't see you guys :(
We want to come back, it was the tail-end of Covid but we still had a lot of fun and met a lot cool people out :)
@@RobeTrotting Aww, well next time maybe :) If you plan on going to Vejle again - You can be sure that I'll be there to shake your hands and take pics :p
I have a niece who lives in Vejle!!
That wasn't that "bad danish" you didn't slaughter the words, I mean I could understand it..🙂👍
But keep practicing and you'll get there💪..
Thanks Tim! We definitely won’t stop trying. I think when we use English but insert one Danish word the pronunciation sounds bad, but when we try to actually speak in Danish sentences it’s a little better 🙏 🇩🇰
You schood trye taking a trip too Skagen
Yes! We would love to make it there this summer :)
Thanks for the suggestions. We really are keeping a list of places we are told to visit and it’s a fun challenge to accept 😃🇩🇰
Have you visited Viborg, Ribe or Skagen yet? Even nicer.
Can you maby make a fact video abut Christiansfeldt is a old city and the queen visit Christiansfeld on sundag the 13/6
My parents were married at the city hall in 1976.
You should viste some of the Islands around the country
I think the people of Vejle thank you soooo much….especially for calling Vejle a “city”, haha.
Try Præstø or perhaps Stege and Nyord on Møn.
Hej Per, thank you for the suggestions. We have been to Møns Klint and that's all - would be great to explore more of Møn 🇩🇰😀
Please do Randers, vi har en Regnskov. XD
You should visit Viborg
It’s been on the list for a while so it’s only a matter of time now 😃🇩🇰
my birth city.. LONG time ago :)
well danm you came past my city
siden i er på tur, så burde i også smutte forbi frederikshavn og besøge palme stranden.
The last part sounds a bit Trump-like 😝 When you say, »Tak, fordi I så med (Thank you for watching along)!«, it sounds like: »Tak, fordi I så mig (Thank you seeing me)!«
😂😂😂 How dare you Mads! hahaha
@@RobeTrotting // But 'mødes' sounded very Danish 👌
Hvad siger i til at tage et kik på Fredericia en dag ?
Never realized the english pronounciation of Maria :P
I'm from Kolding (approximately 18,6 miles from Vejle), and that is a equally beautiful city to visit. Mostly famous for Koldinghus Castle and the mall. But it's so much more. It's absolutely beautiful and worth a visit
Can you go to Aalborg next time
We'll be there next month 😀🇩🇰
MAAN!
You came by my town, and I didn’t even get to run into you guys?
Hopefully I’ll get my chance one day..
Sorry we missed you Bo! Next time beers on us! We already want to come back 🇩🇰😀
What you also should have done was to rent a Bicycle and drive West trough Vejle Ådal (Vejle River Wally) towards Bindeballe and Vandel, then you would have seen the true "alps" of Denmark.
Ah yes, we saw them from the waterfront (at least I think so) and from the train as we approached - gorgeous! :)
i live in this commune :D
I live near Gågade WOOOOOOOO
WTG boys
Tak Anders 😀🇩🇰
@@RobeTrotting Selv tak ;)
I live in Vejle
Nice btw Can you guys speak danish tho
