I love how in depth you thought about the idea, you didn't just go "yeah a grappling hook needs to be in the game." but you found an idea with them that actually sounds like it would lend its self pretty well to a Borderlands game with proper balancing as you said. I don't think gearbox would ever ad them, but that takes nothing away from this dope ass concept!
@@0fficalHellfire at this point with borderlands 4 on the horizon I just have to pray that they put them in. Then I can say I predicted grappling hooks in borderlands 4 😂😂😂
TPS felt like cooking a perfect steak and serving it on a paper plate with undercooked potatoes. It has the best skill trees, great movment tech, cool guns and fun missions, but it has also the worst endgame, farming, and DLCs (tho BL3 gave it competition on that front). Overall i found it more disappointing than good
@@St4rkiller04 Clone and Athena are so damn fun and actually strong. I also like how all the VHs skill trees are properly themed and stick to their main gimmick.
I think the hooks should be like its own drop like grenade mods, they could also have parts like if you get a jakobs handle on your hook you get a faster cooldown, or if you get a maliwan chain, the hit stun lasts longer
@@Pataroro I think that is also a cool way to approach it. The 2 things I have against it is over complicating the parts system with it and the crowding of the inventory slots.
@@grimm6924 i think having a pure movement option for an action skill would be cool. I think all of the vaulters should has dope movement tech IMO. Thanks for the input 👊
The grappling hook could be useful if items fall of the edge of the map and are still within grabbing distance. Grabbing enemies could stagger them for a second. Grabbing barrels would be good, you could get them out of the way or hit enemies behind you. I haven't played any of those games, but I think they are cool ideas.
@@alphab01mcoc83 There are definitely a lot of avenues they could take with it but I think they way I laid it out was the best way to do so. Thanks for the input 🙏🙏🙏
The next game needs many things if the franchise wants to stay relevant. Imo it needs loadout slots for quick build change on the go as long as you have the items on you. It also needs a story that doesn't bastardize the ip and treats characters better but that won't happen
@@stereolotus77 I 100% get that. It’s not for everyone. I just think it there is a way to incorporate it into BL4 and make it fun for everyone. Casual and hardcore fans
@@sandrolarocca3113 I don’t even think it’s that in my opinion. They have had stuff like this since the first game. What makes them different is that those aspects are not defining traits to the characters. So I think they can still have it, just have it as background details. Similar to how hammerlock is gay and you find out through side missions and stuff like.

Borderlands The Pre-Sequel was awesome and I can't pretend to say it wasn't anymore.
PreSequel is my second favorite borderlands game. It has THE BEST vault hunters in the franchise. Bar none.

Yeah for real man good job putting this out there
Thanks man 👊

I was telling star that he should've taken a look at halo infinite and it's grapple hook. It has a stun feature plus a bit of shock damage

Get this man on the gearbox team

Finally found an excuse to put it into a video. Such a banger song
I'd like melee weapons to have a slot.
@@beastwarsFTW me personally, I think that should stay in wonderlands. 1 or 2 unique melee weapons in bl4 would be dope as hell
Idk I've never been a fan of grappling hooks in shooter games. Although this video definitely made it seem like a good idea lol.
