that’s a high pass filter gradually becoming more prominent, then turning the filter instantly off when you land. it’s impressive stuff and executed very well! i use stuff like this in music and sound design all the time and it’s kinda painful to see it done so much better than me LMAO. but i’m not complaining, this stuff is awesome
Honestly, I would've felt the same if the music was syncing perfectly with my parkour. Because damn, not only you got the skills on the parkour skills, but also the music hits hard. Also, the Degenerate at the end died from how hard the song dropped with the ending, not the fall.
0:59 i love how the music stops just before that zombie is killed, and you can only hear the sound of his face being crushed. I don't know why but it's hilarious, like if the game knew how ridiculous that situation is haha
I know how you feel, these moments where the music matches the cut and it’s so cinematic literally makes my spine chill. It’s the most technologically advanced form of random artistic Easter eggs we can only find in video games like this
Ikr! The only time I saw something this responsive in a first person game where you move a lot was probably in Portal 2 with its diagetic music many years ago
Another case of games housing this feature is Blade and Sorcery, in the battle music, the music makes certain pitches and sounds rhythmically every time you kill a gladiator.
This has to be the best feature I have ever experienced it makes parkour feel 10x better than it already did and gives me a sort of “he’s beginning to believe” moment
i find it amazing because the music changes in tempo and adds or takes away instruments based on what you’re doing, for example, you’ll be on a roof running and you’ll have thing high pitched strings and the kinda orchestra playing but if suddenly duck inside a building the same music keeps playing but it gets a muffled kind of effect. the dynamic music in this game is phenomenal and works extremely well whilst playing, it just adds a whole new level of immersion.
@@catofdeath8177 that’s not true whilst it is very difficult given the right training and circumstances you absolutely can wall run even if it’s not for very long.
I love lawans mixtape because it works perfectly with the parkour, i wish there were more music mixtapes you could find. So far i only know of the one.
If anyone sees this and thinks this vid is referring to the dynamic music, this is referring to the song itself, not just the dynamic elements like filters on the audio.
If you're implying the dynamic music, This is a legitimate song in game, and happened by random chance, although some areas were infact affected by dynamic music, everything else was just normal music that just so happened to be in sync.
@@kristopher3623 It's more complex than that if you pay attention, specifically in how instruments are layered. For example, if you stop moving, the music will keep going but the percussion will fade out to match your feet no longer moving.
Whoever decided that the parkour music would be dynamic is a fucking madlad. I just jam out when my parkour chain is looking cool af and the music is only complimenting the entire experience. Too good.
If you watched most dying to know episodes, the music producer and director said , he made the music dynamic and it would shape as you play in different styles in game. Like pitching low when you jump and so on , i think that was a genius move by them . This game s so damn good
You will see this kind of stuff more often in the future. Probably even in some idie games too since unreal engine 5 just came out today and it's meta sounds can do things like that! Sounds and looks like dying light 2 is playing audio files or at least the music loops based on velocity and height informations thats sick! Its a bit flawed at times but I can see the player doesnt really noticed it so yeah it works great!
Huh I've been following the development of UE5 for a while and hadn't heard of that until now. That's super awesome, I really hope more research goes into dynamic soundtracks in the near future. I bet some day we'll have games predicting exactly what the player will do in the next minute based off of some complex AI algorithm that can set up the music accordingly.
Didn’t know they added this song. The amount of clips I’ve made during late night runs that I’ve looked at the morning after like “why on earth did I record this” is unreal
Honestly they really should give an option for the player to have like a playlist. So they can choose to shuffle it for their parkour or choose a specific song to always be playing. Knowing Techland, this is a real possibility.
i hope that dynamic music in games evolves to the point that the songs are always synced like this wether youre using your paraglider or getting on ground
You know when your on a jog, and the badass breakdown of the song comes up and regardless of how tired you are you dig it out and hit the after burners? You're the song. Lol
Either way if you were in sync with the song or if you were just free running through the city you’ll be able to do that almost anywhere there’s a big enough jump. It’s a game feature to really draw you in when your out and about doing stuff and I gotta say it’s a masterpiece of its own. It makes you feel bad ass when you know that the music is gonna cut out when you make a jump, only to land and have the music pick right back up.
Also if you think the parkour is fast in this game some of y’all gotta go back and play the first cause Kyle crane was built different man could run faster than usaine bolt on steroids
I was listening to some songs on Spotify while playing this the other day... Just running around.... And suddenly, I felt like I was the one running around, jumping across gaps, paragliding through hallways and windows, climbing buildings... I don't even remember zoning out.
i find that more often than not, whenever i put songs over gameplay it coincidentally fits perfectly without needing any adjustments. I think the human mind just kind of matches them together on its own
I never get the music to this level of loud before my aiden just decides not to wallrun or a twig stops me so I loose all momentum or just my absolute parachute abuse because there’s never any land (roofs) in the direction I’m running which is always towards an objective.
i love how it sorta pauses or gets higher pitch when your jumping from roof to roof
that’s a high pass filter gradually becoming more prominent, then turning the filter instantly off when you land. it’s impressive stuff and executed very well! i use stuff like this in music and sound design all the time and it’s kinda painful to see it done so much better than me LMAO. but i’m not complaining, this stuff is awesome
it *floats*
@@earlyexit38 the lowpass filter when you're in buildings too is like icing on the cake LOL
I noticed that as well!
the music also gets blurry when u enter buildings, tech land rlly put so much effort into making the parkour experience incredible

Felt like an actual gameplay trailer, amazing
Other than the 180 turn in mid air. Every other parkour move in this game actually seems possible in real life. Which I love
That's probably because most moves took inspiration from real life
Minus the whole grabbing onto a ledge while falling at a speed where it would shatter your bones lol
Push a guy off a skyscraper and take no fall damage cause you landed on him. Hmm
Wallrunning is not possible in real life lmao

Well dude im happy to hear that
This music and game play makes you feel like a super hero
AND I LOVE IT
The music actually adjusts to what you're doing kinda like Doom Eternal
If you're implying the dynamic music,
This is a legitimate song in game, and happened by random chance, although some areas were infact affected by dynamic music, everything else was just normal music that just so happened to be in sync.
Doom Eternal doesn't have as much dynamic music as Doom 2016
Btw
Nope, it only adjusts when you jump or go in a dark sone, or fall. The rest is not dynamic and just good timing
@@kristopher3623 It's more complex than that if you pay attention, specifically in how instruments are layered. For example, if you stop moving, the music will keep going but the percussion will fade out to match your feet no longer moving.
@@theparadoxisbored6622 nah the music changes if you go indoors, jump, etc this didn’t happen randomly.
I love how it just stopped when you killed the biter.
“You did all of that just for one guy?”
i swear, this alone can make anyone wanna buy this game
That's the why dynamic music system in this and also in the recent doom games are so awesome, they adapt to your actions
Polish people have mastered the art of sound designing and mixing/mastering.

i hop on once a day to de-stress by listening to the music and doing parkour

Best parkour track in the entire game
Okay, this should be an advertisement for the game cause I'm sold. Gonna go buy it right now.
I like how the music just stops when he jumps into the car with the zombie

I was so pumped up when I’ve heard this music for the first time 😮
