    This is awesome. I am going as a female version of Heath's Joker this Halloween. Go big or go home. I have been applying latex prosthetics for many years. This will be my second time in my life as the Joker. I was also Jack's Joker the Halloween after that movie came out. Not much of an internet back then, so it was a total improvisation with toilet paper and glue. I will be buying this product! Thank you

      HOW DID IT GO?

  • @nimbacreations
    @nimbacreations  13 лет назад +1

    @FatalityCast Gelatine is actually the most eco-friendly material for prosthetics as it's a recyclable by-product of several other industries. Other materials use petroleum and a wide range of other chemicals, and are one use only, so if the casting is bad, the material is wasted and goes to landfill. Gelatine is bio degradable and melts in hot water :)

    Hello, first off, awesome looking prosthetics! I just ordered these and the small adhesive set from your website. I figured it would give me some good practice attaching these. Just one question though, I will be using these for an upcoming convention and they might need to be one for 7+ hours. I read an earlier message of you recommending snappy g for that. Would the small adhesive set from your website work as well as long as I brought it with me and continually applied it through the day? Thank you again!

    @Genjuruhi Hi, we just used some cheap hair gel and coloured hairspray (you can get that from any joke / fancy dress shop). We used a bright yellow and a dark green to get a nice 'textured' look rather than just plain green ;)

  • @nimbacreations

    We show you how to do every single process, but we don't show every single second of it because it would become very dull very quickly. Just keep doing exactly what you have been shown on screen. When he puts down glue, just keep putting down glue the same way. When he puts on paint, just keep putting on paint the same way.

    Thank you for the prompt reply. I guess I could just ask you directly then; when applying the adhesive prior to placing the prosthetic, is the adhesive applied beneath the scar on the skin or just applied to the edges? I believe the application of the adhesive here was the only area I couldn't grasp fully.

    I heard you say for the scars you used Rose for the basics of them, but what colour(s) did you use to shadow them? Also, did you use a fire engine red paint or lipstick near the end? And finally, besides the black and white grease paint and water-based poster paint, can the Perfect Palette 2.0 do the rest of the colouring in this video or did I miss anything that might be needed?

  • @anthonysosa1048
    @anthonysosa1048 8 лет назад +2

    exactly what kind of paint do you use for the cracked effect? I've tried searching for water based poster paint and cant find it those terms? is it water based acrylic paint or just a white water color paint??

    I don't think the joker used a brush to put on his makeup. To get the best look you have to apply the makeup with your hands

    can these be reused? or is it a one time thing?

  • @nimbacreations
    @nimbacreations  14 лет назад +1

    @prankmastr620 Some people have had success using gelatine prosthetics more than once but it must be said, like all pro quality appliances, the edges are paper thin and the material is soft so that it moves like flesh and this often means they are easily damaged after wearing them and removing them hours later.

    I wish the video wouldn't cutaway so often during the appliance of the scars and makeup. Some of these steps that are cut are essential to proper application. I've purchased the materials that I need to recreate this effect, yet this tutorial gives fragmented information. You're a great artist, I just need more help for a con I'll be attending. Any advise of where to get a more in-depth video?
