Psi has been his main sponsor, Jacob said he would gladly hook him up with sum sundown subs for his build on the sundown after dark show, I can understand how it put exo in a tough spot though, if psi isn't paying him I'd switch to sundown. Both are great subs.. he needs 12 team neo 18s and 12 ns2/ns1/7500s amps.. I'd like to see exo run team deaf bonce, only because I run all apocalypse in my truck.. great video
Years ago I was going to offer this to people and I got flamed on the forums from all the "experts" lol. I still have my machine but it's been in storage since I closed my old shop. He's right about them not being totally saturated but the other things that kill them is heat and shock. If you drop a sub or bang it around it can weaken the mags.
@@MasterBasser They probably are. These subs had incredibly large magnets and 6,000 gauss is not weak in any sense. Sundown just has a really nice rig that was able to push these closer to their physical limits of magnetism than the machine Soundstream used when they originally made them.
Very cool of Sundown to help you out with that. Personally, the heaviest sub I have handled is either the Rockford Fosgate T3 19" or the RE Audio XXX18
Wow......been in car audio for 28yrs.......never knew this could be done. I love tech like this, more than looking at a good plated Rockford Fosgate Power 1000 from 1987.
Might I mention that anyone deadicated to going to the extent of building his own subs to this extent is truly new Lord of audio world's around an far you go EXO I HOPE LEARN YOUR WISDOM'S AN KNOWLEDGE
Every video that I have watched that has anyone who works for, or represents, Sundown Audio has left a positive impression on my view of the company. It was very nice of the owner to let you re-gauss your magnets that are his competitors speakers. Just the fact that the owner did that for you shows that he is less about the money and more about being a audio fanatic. Again, Sundown Audio being ineffably glacial in my book! +++++
Props for Jason, owner of Sundown, to do that for you Exo! Good people helping out good people! Awesome video! Got to see the process in action too! Thumbs up!
I’m assuming they are on a time of use metering. If not they should prolly call and ask for an assessment based on their usage to see if it would be worthwhile. I’m also assuming who they have based on geographical location. I’d say they are prolly paying about $.10/kwh depending how much they use. That doesn’t include demand though. They also have to worry about demand usage which is measured in 15 minute intervals on a 24hr day. Based on the size of that facility they are definitely over 35kw of demand (and what i could see on the inside).
Brother, I LOVE your videos - but you should get some really good audio capture devices for your videos. I'm not hating but sound quality is what you love - you're awesome at the video part, are you planning on upping the audio portion of your gig?? I"m not hating at all - your backgrounds sound so good and your stories are so AWESOME!! Just wondering if you've considered it..
After a long day at work, this video was refreshing. I was a little tired but now I feel like cutting some wood lol. Keep up the good work. Thanks to Jacob and the sundown crew plus Ed for being a true gentlemen and helping my boy out.

Oh thats awesome. Never would have thought someone would have a magnet zapper for car subs lol. My dad built a magnet zapper for 1/10 scale rc motors in the early 2000s.
Between watching you and big d I carefully selected a single 12" pioneer dvc and a mono amp to suit. My car now sounds mint without overkill. Nice clean bass and mids thanks to smart automotive technology for the tune in noosaville qld australia
Lol. Defiantly not a light sub. I still have mine. It was a bitch getting it in my trunk. Got a full inch thick. 4 square foot enclosure. Tuned to 35hz.
Old school bass head here, not really into the sport much anymore however I love your videos bro! Always make me laugh and always make me feel like doing it all over again! Thanks!
Heaviest sub I’ve played with was a sundown nsv3. Still have my baby but i need to order my harness for my new car due to it having Bose. I’m so excited to get it all put into my car!!!!
I've never carry empty freeair subs but the heaviest subs I've carry would be Nexo RS18 every 2-3 days with my work mates. Live sound got me beat. Ain't fun stacking those dual 18" but being able to play my favorite tunes on expensive arrays are definitely worth working for live sound
Super cool EXO then you got the privilege of magnetizing you so woofers not everybody got the privlidge keep up the good work in the good video Looking forward to see the built on your know Nissan Van. Hello here from Puerto Rico.
I had a 24in movie theater sub and it weighed 185lbs it got it from a guy who did professional movie theaters and he gave it to me and it was steel so loud unbelievable
oh man I just realized I might get to meet you at the sundown show in august. as long as I can keep the amps cool enough I'd like to give you a demo of 4 nsv4 15s on 2 15k in a crew cab walled truck. I watch all your vids keep up the awesome work.
Awesome video Exo 👌 That was great of Jacob & Sundown to do that for you, much respect! The biggest woofer I have owned is a Sundown audio Team 18, it's stupid huge but before that I had 2 Soundstream xxx18s also, they are no joke ! I also have 3 dd9918s which are close to 90lbs & I also had 5 Soundstream xxx15s which were huge to, all of them were great subwoofers, I wish I never sold any of them
Sundown does make one of the best subs.. I was running sundown x12v2, but recently I've move to the deafbonce sa312 series and play little higher frequencies now.. both awesome subs.. but the sundown x12v2 is so smooth and sound amazing
It is really impressive at the Sundown HQ. There's so much to take in along with the immense size of the facility...which they're about to move to an even larger facility.

Ive always heard that when u bump magnets too hard they may lose some strength. Be careful when putting them back away and every time u move them. Nicely done
The 4 MTX Thunder 15s that I had in my bed of my 95 S10 and the box was almost 500 lbs, as well as the two JL Audio W-0 15s and the box that was in the back of my Eddie Bauer Exploder.
Hi exo, just would like to say you sound and seems to be such a nice and down to earth guy! Love your channel! Have i missed or did you not say what subs you should use in the previous vids? Where did you get 12 soundstream subs? Have you used them in a previous build? Didnt think soundstream did that heavy duty subs😎 Good luck with the build man!
jacob is a stand up guy willing to help out exo even if exo dosent end up running a sundown product thats an A++ service
I always get too caught up in the video and then it ends and I’m like noooooo, now I have to wait again!
Crazy cool process... man if they were never fully charged imagine what they can do now?!?! Crazy.... thanks for sharing
I will forever support sundown such a good company and a cool owner
Love your attitude man, every video makes my day better. You're a big reason that I keep up with this stuff into my adult years.
I knew this could be done in general but never SEEN it been done. Tyvm for showing us something different :D
Dam man I can't wait to see what your set up looks like when it's all done love the videos bro

I just love the amount of time and effort you put into these videos, keep up the amazing work man!! Can't wait to see the finished product!!!
iLike how ne uses a skateboard instead of a dolly or other real transport device, dropping them on the way 2 the vehicle instead LOL = what a clown.

5 kilos
amazing, they are new now!
Wears psi shirt it sundown's shop, lol,
I am also I miner, love mining fun and profitable, i bet they have some CHEAP electricity
Sniper Pro nerf mods
I would but my electricity is 23c per kwh
but psi buys parts from sundown and sundown actively recommends psi though
And on top of that, he takes sound stream subwoofers to a sundown shop!
Dylan Lockler yeah but they are gonna be rebuilt with psi parts.

The biggest Sub of mine is a Ground Zero GZPW 18 SPL with 40kg = 88,2 pounds..
Very hard to put it alone in a box..
Aa the lightweight series, GZPW 21SPL is tricky and heavy to lift at small fourth order bandpass wall. Around 45kg :D
The very few times I've dealt with Jacob. He's always been real cool. Goes above and beyond to help.
Getting more excited for the build on every video you post man, keep it up =D

Good stuff. Cant wait to see the finished build. Heaviest subs i handled were 2 SUNDOWN ZV5 18'S INTO A 4TH ORDER INVERTED. STRAIGHT MONSTERS!!
2500 volts x 2,5 killa amps = 6,25 MEGAwatts
Those racks of caps in the bottom of the unit probably discharge all that current in under a second too. Shit is madness.
