changing the engine air filter is easy. There is a box on right of engine compartment with a big hose and clips. This is the air box which has the air filter. Undo clips and replace filter ( only goes one way) . Then replace clips.
Um wow. Thats it? My dealership charges me $40 to do this. Ridiculous. Thanks for making this vid. Won't ever have them do it again unless they just charge me for the filter and install it for free. lol
If you have the time as well you can bleed your own brake fluid it's pretty simple. It's a simple task, just a little time consuming because you have to do it for all 4 breaks
Quand je pense au remplacement du filtre habitacle que j'avais sur différents véhicules (Citroën, Fiat..)..même sur une Civic VIII... ! celui-ci est bien pensé..on va dire..un vrai régal oui ! merci encore Honda..
@@OilLightReset I am in the Auto dealership trade and she's right. I had a staff member who charged a client $40 just to change a cabin filter.. he had to walk because it's not our policy to gouge priced people for such an easy job. Sometimes you have to look from the clients perspective. As much as we have bills to pay, they also deserve a fair price from us
Thanks for sharing this video, I was trying to figure how to disconnect the damper so I can easily change my cabin air filter. Heck, I didn't so I just have my kid with small hand reach in release the cover on the filter after opening the glove box. LOL
Great video, thank you so much. Will you at some point do a video on rear brake replacement on this vehicle? It's got an electronic parking from what I can see and there's a trick to retracting the piston I believe.
Okay that’s cool and all but what if I wan clean the fan inside also you need to do a video for that I think u have to pop the hood and remove the rubber part I’m try it myself because I got a HR-V to 2019 but I’m rub my finger on it and if it’s not dusty then I’m just let it be because they said every 12,000 miles to make a change for the filter
Simple easy and to the point
Great video
Thanks so much
Thanks for making this video. You just saved me 20 bucks. I hope you have a video for the engine air filter :)

Thank you for your video and the info on the upgraded filter. Thanks to you, I was able to replace the filter myself.
Most welcome, and thank you for commenting!
Very clear & easy to understand...
Saved 65 bucks from a dealer.
Thx!
You made this so easy for this 68 yr old😊
Thanks man you just save me a ton of money
Thanks! Worked and saved me cash I do not have!
Thank You! I just used the link to buy the carbon filter. I will be returning the filter I bought from Honda at $32.00.
Very helpful video. One point I missed. Which direction does the flow arrow go...up or down?
Down!

That looks so easy and saves you money from price gouging dealership costs
People got to get paid for labor and to keep the lights on. I’m a dealer tech and I hate comments like this.

Was that price including the filter, or just labour? @@juanalbert3986

Great DIY video!
Does this apply to the 2018 Honda HR-V models too ?
yes, it applies to 2016-2019 HRVs
Thank you. I’m almost 60 and just recently found out about there being a “cabin filter” that needs to be replaced 😳

Will the person changing my oil do this ?
Thank u
So the air flow arrow points down?
dokładnie, wydaje mi się że filtr jest założony źle, powinien być zamontowany odwrotnie, zgodnie ze wskaźnikiem na pokrywie i na filtrze
dzięki za pomoc
How much it cost the filter? Where can I buy it ? Best deals store
Thank bro
Thanks bro
Thanks!

Must mentioned the clips on top where filter is located ,are very fragile. I broke mine. Other than that easy fix
