Last Week in Buddha Garden February 19th - February 24th 2024

This week we have been working on getting our cool weather crops, like lettuces, into the ground as quickly as possible. This so they have enough time to grow before the hot weather comes when they stop growing. At the same time, we have been working to get our first hot weather crops, like bassella spinach, into the ground. Then they can take advantage of the increasing number of hot days to start growing. We are aware of the hot season coming as it seems to get a little bit hotter every day although it is very unpredictable and there are still some cool hours, especially at night. This week we also watered in some liquid fertiliser to our ruccolla and started to weed our pineapple plants which have started growing and will produce fruit in May.
