Thomas Kasanczuk THAT SOUNDS SO SICKCKKCKCKC. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😖 I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THAT! I hope you had such an amazing time that your neck gave up the next week for head-banging so much.
Crystal Lake is right now one of my greatest metalcore band of all time. The combination of passion, asian culture, faith and aggresive melodic elements in music is such pure godness! Just goosebumps! :)
The OG Japanese Metalcore bands were all about this sound. Bands like State Craft or Edge Of Spirit started in the mid 90s and combined the rar power of metallic hardcore with swedish melo death. Crystal Lake followed these footsteps on their first albums.
@@HS_Merciless true that is very apparent in bands like nocturnal bloodlust, and dexcore too. hiro from noku bura has been a vocalist since the early 2000s i believe when he did collage. but cazqui brought in the melodeath influence to ncbl and hiro the hardcore
It's kind of a mix between parkway's horizons era and also Erra's Augment (even though that album was dropped three years after the original version of this song)
The best part in this video, when you see credit title. After shinya leave this band. Every member still remember him as eternal member not ex member band.
You legit had me cracking up bro. Great reaction. Love the genuine reaction from a musician who can pick up the musical elements and features of the song. Keep it up man
I've heard of Crystal Lake but never heard their stuff till today, if this is how the rest of their music is they will quickly become a favorite of mine, thank you much.
This the new version of the old song. They remastered this song from their 2010 album "Into The Great Beyond". This version is more clean, and delivering more energy.
The original version, as well as the entire Into The Great Beyond album + the Dimensions album can be found digitally on their bandcamp :). Hope Nik will add the link to the original version in the description.
Yeah, their 2020 album (which includes the Into The Great Beyond music video) was all fully funded via a Japan kickstarter platform at the start of Covid in 2020. The credits are all of their "kickstarter" backers basically.
Crystal Lake went on before fit for a king and emmure and stole the whole show at my last show before COVID they killed it and I met Ryo he was super nice
Please check out abstracts, they were a Japanese djent and progressive metalcore band, their first self titled album had a guest solo from mark Holcomb from periphery on the song “Twillight”, although they disbanded in 2019 they are still a great listen, people were basically calling them the Japanese periphery
8:21 Haha i love how your „end of video RUclips recommendations“ are exactly the same as mine, some magazine shit pushed by yt, wage war, crystal lake etc. and an asmongold reaction
True. I think Ryo got much more core vibes, while Kentaro could just as well be the vocalist of a melodeath band. Does Ryo use fry and Kentaro false cord? I'm honestly not sure. Both are great though!
Hey Nik, I really think that you would enjoy Tallah's music, there drummer I'd Mike Portnoys son, Max, and the vocalist is an amazing youtuber/musician (Justin Bonitz) who goes by the name of Hungry Lights, and I can guarantee you've never heard a vocalist like him! They only have a few songs out at the moment, but there gonna release an album on the 2nd of October. They would make a great reaction video, just saying...
I’d love a series of Nik reacting to old bands that never blew up. Should react to Worldlines from Brisbane. I remember a song called ‘Nakama’ went hard af
This song is amazing. The guitars at the beginning actually sounds like trivium catastrophiest. Trivium probably borrowed those leads from parkway drive
*Crystal Lake
Soooooo chunky brah
If the drummer doesn't bother to buy another kick drum and two tomtoms I would love this band
UwU :3
Thanks for share this,It's so cool
Your face at the credits is fucking priceless
by the way, the "Special Thanks" were people who backed up the project of the new record in a Kickstarter Style.
So all the creds at the end were supporters? Holy fawk
That makes more sense
Yup. That 2020 remastered album was all funded via a kinda Kickstarter in Japan.
I saw Crystal Lake when they were touring with Northlane and Erra and everyone was just blown away by them, the boys killed it!
I saw them when they toured Australia with Polaris, Alpha Wolf and Wage War, god tier show!!!
Same dude. They probably had the best performance of the night and they were the opening band
Thomas Kasanczuk THAT SOUNDS SO SICKCKKCKCKC. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😖 I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THAT! I hope you had such an amazing time that your neck gave up the next week for head-banging so much.
Same
Same they were so fucking sick. Saw them in Chicago last year, 🔥🔥
Stopped looking for new music, just started regularly watching all these reactions, theyre always bangers, the lazy mans way of finding good songs 🤣🤣
Same here, brother. Same here.
Hell yee!
If you ever need anything new just hit Dreambound or Hardcore Worldwide channel.
Same
it works. lmao
The scream heard at 5:53 is the voice of the former vocalist.
Oh, thats veron
man I love little details like this, my absolutely favourite moment of this song!
Crystal Lake is right now one of my greatest metalcore band of all time. The combination of passion, asian culture, faith and aggresive melodic elements in music is such pure godness! Just goosebumps! :)
Crystal Lake x Spiritbox collab incoming tomorrow
are u serious?
Wait what
Ping for more Info
@@boredtolife7879 they both posted it on instagram
WHAT!?!?
Dudddeeee I saw these guys at the most ideal show. Polaris, Wage War, Alpha Wolf and Crystal lake. What a show
How good was that lineup! I saw them in Bris, every band was so incredible.
Saw them on the neon alien tour with erra and northlane these three are like my fav bands ❤️. A huge shame northlane barely comes to the U.S.
Sounds like some good old school 2000's drop C metalcore. That breakdown at 1 minute is awesome
Well you aren’t wrong, the original was indeed drop C.
2000's metal core should have never ended, good to see it back!
Dude everyone is going towards alternative route when the real money is 2000s metalcore crabcore edm and melodies
It ended because no one could move that sound forward anymore
NorthTimo fine, I’ll do it myself

love crystal lake man, they're killing it lately
This year has been amazing for music man, from Polaris to Currents and new Crystal Lake man and Fit For a King... perfect year for metalcore.
For sure man, and I would add August Burns Red "Guardians" to that list too 🤘🤘🤘
The people who are written in end credit invest money into crowdfunding for Crystal Lake.
ok that makes sense
Beloved was one of the old songs that I really love. Also Ups and Downs.
Beloved is totaly a banger
Me: Hey this kinda reminds me of Park-
Nik: Parkway!
Same haha
A lot of their old stuff sounds like Parkway Drive tbh
It's kind of a mix between parkway's horizons era and also Erra's Augment (even though that album was dropped three years after the original version of this song)
Parkwayyy
@@NikNocturnal nik I simp for you :c
Crystal lake is really making metal-core great again.
Can you do a cover of any Rings of Saturn song PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
This needs more likes.
Do u not want him to sleep or what??
@Morbid Angel is better than Death rings of Saturn is better than morbid Angel
@Morbid Angel is better than Death you can watch Lucas play Shards of Scorched Flesh raw and uncut on his channel
Its impossible for human being.
I'm so glad your first comment mentioned how parkway it sounded. My first thought.
Also for the drums, Gaku Taura is one of the best to current do it.
Crystal lake has been so consistent over the years and every song is a banger. Its a shame they aren't as popular as they should be.
The best part in this video, when you see credit title. After shinya leave this band. Every member still remember him as eternal member not ex member band.
He's still in the band but he's taking a break from playing unlike the others he have a family and so
Since you saw the guitarist are doing backing screams, how bout you do one for termina too? xD
If we ever play live I might have to
@@NikNocturnal why might you have too?
@@aaron_land707 he's doing backing vocals in a lot of tracks
Nik: nice juicy beef
Michael Scott: That’s what she said
That intro is very killswitch engage, too! Love it.
The song is on the tip of my tongue
2:54 : Control tower ? We lost him.
I love how full their sound is. The outro, at 5:55 is just awesome. Definitly one of my new favorite bands.
4:48 they be catching sharks with the reel feels
We need more of this genre the old way duuude, fking love these type of tracks. High Energy, Hard Lyrics, Crazy Chunk, Big Guitar Melodic
Saw your comment under their video
Was hyped for your reaction and for the re-record Release!
it's been 2 years, and we still haven't seen a full verision of "Maka Me Cri" from the most used intros in metal video :'(
I saw Crystal Lake back in February opening for Polaris on the death of me tour, and poor Wage War had to follow them
He says "Parkway-esque"
what he meant to say was
I Killed the Prom Queen-esque
That intro is in my opinion the best one in 2020 so far. Absolutely amazing.
You legit had me cracking up bro. Great reaction. Love the genuine reaction from a musician who can pick up the musical elements and features of the song. Keep it up man
Yes, definitely awesome track!! Thanks Nik for sharing it!
Crystal Lake is on another level. Dudes are insane
“WHAT’RE WE DOIN’!? WHAT’RE WE DOIN’!?!? OHHHHHH!!!!”
The feely feel bits are very "The Amity Affliction" esq
This reminds me so much of the entire Horizons album from Parkway Drive.
Veron the original vocalist is also a backup scream cameo in this track.
Crystal LakeのMVが出るたびにあなたのReactionを楽しみにしてます from 🇯🇵
I discovered this band on your stream and man oh man I have been sharing this band to everyone who will listen
I've heard of Crystal Lake but never heard their stuff till today, if this is how the rest of their music is they will quickly become a favorite of mine, thank you much.
We have the same taste of metal music. Just love to listen to metal with you. Give's me some new feeling listen to the same song.
You should totally react to Vitalism
Maybe even cover it (if you can)
Yes!
yeah i love them
Nik...can...every....fucking....thing.
YES
Would be awesome to see the Bipolarity solo!
"Were each of the snowflakes a person?" I'm dead lol
lmao 😂
yeh crystal lake is heavy and stuff but have ever listen to green day?
OG Deathcore right there, Boulevard of Broken Bree's is crushingly heavy.
@@whatisahandleplz I agree but nothing compares to When I mosh around and breesket case. Heaviest shit I've heard in my whole life.
Pshh how about yellowcard
You know when a fun song is half way through and you're hoping it doesn't end. Yea these guys get it.
Thank you for introducing me to this amazing band, Nik!
The first breakdown is better than the second one and the guitar work is heavenly
Hungry for Crystal Lake - Into the Great Beyond guitar cover with tab, sound soo yummy for ma tummy, Auumss~
This the new version of the old song. They remastered this song from their 2010 album "Into The Great Beyond". This version is more clean, and delivering more energy.
Saw them at Jera on Air in Ysselstein with Beartooth and Enter Shikari
Do a guitar cover of this song goddamnit!!! We the people demand a cover with tabs on this song Nik!
The song title perfectly matches how the song looks and feels
Have you listened to their new track Watch Me Burn? Banger of a track, and feels very different for them.
Prob best metalcore released in 2020. That fast breakdown is crazy
nice melodies that sooth me to sleep is one way of putting this song!
You mean parkway has a huge crystal lake feel
😳 what are we doing- WHAT ARE WE DOING??? ...OH!!!!! (literally makes me fall in love with this band again 😭😭 ur reactions r everything)

Deftones vibez video. Cross between “My Own Summer” and “Be Quiet & Drive”.
that song was so fking good. I hope it comes to spotify
I saw Crystal Lake, Cane Hill, 36 Crazy Fists and Bury Tomorrow in 1 night at a gig in Manchester in 2019. Wild night that was...
I discovered this band thanks to you Nik and I gotta say that they are outstanding
This remake album “The Voyages” they just released is just sooo heavy.
Honestly the best album I've heard all year
Please check out abstracts, they were a Japanese djent and progressive metalcore band, their first self titled album had a guest solo from mark Holcomb from periphery on the song “Twillight”, although they disbanded in 2019 they are still a great listen, people were basically calling them the Japanese periphery
Still remember when I got to see their Debut in America for the first time 🤩
Man I wanna see these guys live again so bad.
Crystal lake just can't disappoint at all. They re-release this song and the re-recorded album. Then release the merch collab with Spiritbox.
I love that you said it sounds "very Parkway" because I thought the exact same thing the first time I heard this.
Nik you have to do a reaction to the whole album bro, it's HEAVY.
"Was each person a snow flake or something?"
LMFAO
^^
I got some huge In Flames vibes from the guitar work if I'm honest, and that's not a bad thing at all. Crystal Lake always nails what they do.
Why is it still not on Spotify
My question exactly..........
I knew they released something and I wanted to listen to it, but I couldn't find it and was too lazy to find it on RUclips... So I waited for Nik lmao
The album will be out on friday.
there already is a spot on my playlist for this song
@@MrRazta666 Oooh, good to know. I'm down to get more Crystal Lake. I recently found them so I'm down.

If you still don't know about the end credits this music video made with support fund(cloud funding). And their name on the ending.
Kentaro is a very different vocalist to Ryo. Plus this track is about 2 mins longer to the orignal.
True. I think Ryo got much more core vibes, while Kentaro could just as well be the vocalist of a melodeath band. Does Ryo use fry and Kentaro false cord? I'm honestly not sure. Both are great though!
this totally reminds me of some old all that remains. super cool song
Reminds me of some Darkest Hour ca. 2003. GOOOOOOD SHIIIITTTTTTT

Yes more crystal lake!
Nik's reaction was exactly my reaction, didnt expect that chunky breakdown
Nik can just talk to me. Read me the bible boy. Shower that deep voice over my face.
