  • Here is my review of the Daiwa BG Seabass rod. This particular model is 3.05 meters long, 10 foot, and has a casting weight of 28 to 84 grams.
For the Irish east and south coastlines, it might be bulky and oversized, however for fishing in Portugal and the West Coast of Ireland, it is perfectly suited, for my type of fishing.
Rod bought on Waveinn.com (sold out last time I checked, sorry 😂)

Only started fishing last year and bought the following rod off that site. Absolutely love it and an experienced angler near me couldn't believe the value I got for such a high quality rod. Keep the videos coming. DAIWA Legalis Seabass Spinning Rod Blue 2.72 m/14-42 g

Great review Dave. I wouldn’t have considered going more than 9’ on a bass rod but definitely gonna see if I can trial one. Looks like you can get some serious distance. Keep up the good work fella

It all depends on the conditions for me tbh, when I'm fishing calmer areas I'll use a smaller lighter rod, but I like to have the option to take on some serious seas with a heavier rod

I actually bought this last week. Same casting rating but the 8ft version. It was recommended by a friend. I bought in same place as you also. Serious value. Great review.

A reel size around 2500 to 3500 would be perfect. I'm.using the Penn Spinfisher VI 2500 myself

I have never really tried it properly. But I've been thinking about taking some of my salty gear and testing it on some fresh water crocs 🐊 maybe next season I'll dip my toes in 😂
