  • Scots chart-topper Tom Walker has made a poignant return to the music scene as he delighted shoppers in Glasgow with a free performance on Friday.
The singer was promoting new single 'Burn' after taking a hiatus from singing due to ongoing pressures.
The star, 31, rose to fame after the release of smash hit Leave a Light On, which peaked at number seven in the UK charts in 2018. He went on to receive a Brit Award the following year and earned a number-one album with nearly three billion global streams.
But he nearly called it quits with his relationship reportedly becoming "fractured" with his record label due to high expectations and work pressures which left him exhausted. Tom, who was born in Scotland but grew up in Manchester, was told that over 130 songs he had written were nothing more than "mediocre."
