2022 and they’re still releasing classic DBT badassery. One subtle thing I love is the drum beat is a standard rock beat the first half of each verse (perfect, nothing fancy), and when they hang the grungy guitar hook on the second half of each verse, Brad adds one extra kick beat making a “heartbeat” sound. Then brings it right back into the 4/4 beat! Subtle perfection that serves the spooky grunge they’ve created! Keep it up boys and girls!
Holy smokes! My favorite new song so far. Non-conventional SRO vibe with an edge that only one of America's best, long touring band could produce. Well done boys!
@@amandajohnson2180 Thank you. Don't know why that didn't occur to me, it's one of my favorite records. Brain was working slow that day I guess. Cheers!
Dude. This song is a MOOD. It’s my life soundtrack given the half a million miles on my chevy pickup driving to nowhere and back trying to find any sense of this life.
In my 25+ years as a fan of both bands, I never once thought of comparing Patterson to Gibby Haynes, or the Truckers to the Surfers, but that’s the first thing I thought listening to this song. Even though one is from Alabama and the other’s from Texas, both are big dudes, they both are/were frontmen for incredible, legendary bands with big catalogs and a boatload of former members. And Patterson did write “Buttholeville.” 🤔🙂
This song is badass!! I was just trying to find that talking song Patterson does at live shows sometimes. (About everyone in the band being sick with the "Kindergarten disease", and Cooley driving over a mountain pass in the snow, drinking Busch.) Can't remember what it was called. Then, I saw this on my feed and I was stoked!! 💣💥💣💥💣💥
Just heard about these guys on Tennessee Brando's RUclips and came over to give it a listen. OMG... this is stunning! Love the Replacements name check. They came to mind earler in the song and then sure enough they pop up in the lyrics. I want more now.
Brando was the one who got me to explore the Truckers. He'd mentioned Souther Rock Opera, and The Dirty South albums specifically, so I managed to find used copies of them. I just bought three more albums today.
I was going to say that this song kills, but of course it does, that's what it's about! To all the close shaves and to The Replacements and to life itself- Cheers to everyone of us! DBT are one of the few bands that give me shivers any more...
So... The video is awesome, the line about a "Honda full of girls" threw me for a serious loop!!! I can really relate to the sentiment of this one!!! I mean, after all, we were all 21 once.
wow your very best video and song. My second fav is used to be a cop. keep it rolling you gents have paid your dues and deserve your fame and and fortune. God Bles you all
Everyone saying what a great song (It is) and I’m over here having flashbacks! With all the crosses on the road and the wrecks I’ve seen, sometimes you feel like your driving through ghosts. And then the snow flurries in the video…
Did you use the XIII because of the XIII is the first-person shooter game, loosely based on the first five volumes of the 1984 Belgian graphic novel series of the same name. Or because it’s you 13Th album?
Wow a DBT song that allows comments! Wow Patterson it's SRO, New OK, The Unraveling Killing Oscar and 2022s cultural "sadboy vibe" rolled all in one" A+ story telling
I'm here because the band was mentioned in the book Relentless by Mark Greary (book 10 of the Gray Man series;. Netflix just released a movie on the book series).
Great Video guys. I’m always late but grateful when appropriate, and I am bc it is! Enjoy the music & political views of this band, not an easy combo to find anymore! Guess this is the only solid assurance now. Was easy in the seventies but most are afraid to take a side now…or can’t find a side? LoL I love these guys & their music. Play argumentative myself with Patterson if I get a chance bc I miss debates with my late Dad, who was a Republican until his mid seventies & asked: what will we argue about now? I laughed & said we will always have Adam & Eve ;) Dad was the greatest man in my life. Y’all enjoy these guys’ music too, bc they’re one of a kind.🎶 Of course that’s my opinion although I’ve still never met them & they don’t know who I am :)
I just had a vision, I just saw that if these poor truckers can not get fuel then maybe their trucks need to stop right where they are on the road , changing lanes and out of Diesel can't move anywhere . poor guys stuck on road changing lanes and blocking traffic , which they couldnt help doing as the truck ran out of fuel. I wonder if this happened across the country , will Deisel miraculously find it's way to the stations and even directly to truckers stuck on roads blocking traffic thru no fault of their own. these hard working people may find that in a condition like this that Deisel fuel will be found in abundance to assist them .and help these truckers out !. cc all.
Decent song but for me definitely their weakest of the three released so far. Hopefully the others are more like Welcome 2 Club XIII and Every Single Storied Flameout than this.
Love it. I wonder how many bands trace their roots to long drives at night listening to The Replacements on 10....
and referencing "here comes a regular", one of the best tracks the Mat's ever laid down - DBT are , tragically, music's best kept secret ...

Fantastic show Saturday night at Huntsville's new Orion Amphitheater, especially hearing this new song live. Rock on!

That's where you find it. Somewhere on the random laps and shortcuts

@@patrickbarry2828 That's the one! Thank you bro 😎
@@patrickbarry2828 haha knew that one bc I grew up in Logan County WV and most everyone up there listens to DBT. Enjoy this weekend heading our way.
Yep. Driving with joy is precious. Especially in Canada 🇨🇦. Thanks for this one.
To clarify, I love the snow tunnel when I have a destination! Thanks for coming to Ottawa.

Another blistering and darkly majestic song
Going to be another great album from the mighty DBT
A Brilliant and Rockin song. Terrific lyrics and captivating sound and vision production 😎⭐️🎸🎶🤘🏻
This is different! Great way to start a Tuesday!
Tennessee Brando sez you're the best thing ever. UK citizen here totally in love with America, so happy to hear you. You ever get to UK I be there.
The riff is reminiscent of Heart's "Barracuda" and got to love The Replacements' name drop. Great tune.
This is absolutely brilliant! My first time hearing it, and I've decided it's already a classic.

Damn. Just found this song, and I love it!
This is so hard for no reason. I can't shake this song
what a band, what a song!
My Absolute favorite song of the new bunch. Cannot wait for the new album!!! See you at the Rock Show!
This song is DBT at its best. Some honestl lyrics and sharp edged Southern guitar licks.
This has been a highlight of the recent shows. Great tune.
Grand slam boys!!! All the best to you...
Absolutely fantastic! His writing gives you a clear visual of the story. Wonderful video. Well done guys.
Windshield time. Therapy!!
Vintage Truckers. That ROCKS!
El grupo actual más auténtico y creíble! Grandes!!
Always great to hear a new DBT song
Instant classic, what a riff, what a lyric, what a band. This will live as long as Lookout Mountain...
Going to be so awesome seeing y’all in Memphis! Can’t wait!
Just saw the truckers last Sunday in Greensburg Pa. as always great
Awesome, back to the storytelling. It's on the same level as Used To Be A Cop. Loving how heavy it is too!
Can't wait for this album!
Great, great song!
Reminds me of something between Decoration Day and The Dirty South.
So... The video is awesome, the line about a "Honda full of girls" threw me for a serious loop!!!
I can really relate to the sentiment of this one!!! I mean, after all, we were all 21 once.
Love the Truckers.
RIP Wes Freed... the Grievous Angel protect you.

Just wow. What an epic song. Three songs from the new record, each a classic. Can't wait for the full release.
Most Excellent....
Great video....great song.....classic band! Badass.......
Wooooooow! This on repeat 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A Real Different Tune from DBT, but its growing on me!
Every song paints a picture
Music aside (which is fantastic) the lyrics are some of the best poetry I’ve ever read
This is a great road song!
Brilliant

DBT, I saw you at the arsnel many years ago for the first time. I was 18. I went an autographed poster. How can I get one?
This says "1 View" so maybe I'm the first to see this. If so, that's a first for me.

3 Replacements references! Luckily my favorite defunct band and current band were both found by Pete Jesperson
Whats going on here? I've heard people say that DWT is no good without Jason Isbell? DWT has always been great. Still are.
KOOL
I've noticed that this song is a little bit different from their usual style.
I think they might have done a few tours
I would remake Repo Man ruclips.net/video/DLGrXGEMOSo/видео.html just to put this on the soundtrack.
meta meta where's scott and rock?? floating out there in the lude.
Fucking hell this is good!
I'm liking it. Who's the girl singing?
I believe it’s Margo Price. I think I read somewhere she did some background vocals on the album
@@stephenzadrozny1203 saw her at farm aid a few years ago. Nice vocal addition
I saw her at Farm Aid too. The one in CT back in 2018
Patterson's seen alot of sh*t!
DBT going a bit prog?
With the price of gas, I sit & loath life in my crawlspace. At least the music is good.
I think the vid just reminded me of Argos
ot is it Argus? I think the latter
Sounds like Slint.
So did Ole Pat finally get over his TDS?
Dude already wrote, recorded and released this song like three times.

Loved these guys when Isbell was in the band. Haven't liked much since then unfortunately.
