@@cjchillax1771 I think it favors her, due to having so many tools at her disposal. If you're patient as a Ryu, you can probably increase your odds from 7:3 to 6:4, but she's definitely stronger than him.

By now, Smug should know how weak Ryu is after using him. Never saw Smug forced to block and wait for favorable conditions before he could attack like that. It's the story of all Ryu mains. There's just no reliable way to frame trap consistently with Ryu. The solar plexus strike and LM kick are your only real options and they are quickly neutralized by characters who are faster or have longer reach. Wouldn't be so much of an issue if Ryu still had that insanely fast Hadoken from SFIV.

What differentiates good fighting game players and casuals is losing a round and knowing exactly why you lost and go on to expose their playstyle. Meanwhile I lose a round and just start rage mashing and doing the same thing over and over again😔
Forget winning and losing, fuck a record
Focus on improving, try to take round losses as an opportunity to figure out their tendencies and adapt accordingly
It takes time but you'll get better quicker, and you'll start punishing well and playing better a result
