Thank you for helping with her rescue. There was BBC series on the black bears of Minnesota and a professor who has been studying them for decades. His work is so important.
I'm pretty sure that guy now runs the Wildlife Research Institute in Minnesota where Mikayla was recently working with wild black bears. She showed their website with the black bear baby formula recipe.
O……..M……..G…….!! This is such great news. Your love for animals speaks volumes Mikala. Really sad knowing about the mama bear. Really sad. Knowing her cub is with you makes everything much brighter. Can’t wait to watch the cub grow up. God bless Save-A-Fox. 🙏
Mikayla has many hardship, tiring days, sad day as most of us, but she"s so positive, has biggest heart, that is real pleasure to watch her every video. ❤
You are a truly compassionate and BRAVE rescuer to be willing to interact with that size of wildlife, with such strength, teeth, and claws. I wish that cub the best! I'll be intrigued to see how it's doing over time. It took it a while to warm up to the "soup." Keep growing, little one! Makes me ill to think of what likely happened to its mother.
This warms my heart for the little bear cub, but chills at the same time for the likely circumstance of the mother. So glad you're an equal opportunity rescuer!
Thank you so much for everything you and your partner do for wildlife … it upsets me greatly to hear that people go bear hunting .. maybe injuring them or leaving cubs without a Mother .. I have property in a national park in in southern Spain ( they shoot anything that moves here , even in a protected national park) … I befriended a pair of foxes ( male and female) who used to visit me every evening for food … ( she had cubs) .. a local farmer heard about them and shot them both one evening.. even within the protected boundaries of the park … how can people be so cruel .. her cubs must have died from hunger/thirst … You two are my heroes .. I have rescued feral cats and dogs in the past and have 4 ‘wild’ cats in my house … Love you both , you will be rewarded in heaven … Barrie .. Rock of Gibraltar , southern Europe .. 😘
She's Beautiful...I am happy she liked her egg mixture maybe it reminded her of moms milk. I hope she stays safe and well. I am glad to see you uploading with all these crazy storms going on I was worried a little bit about your SAF South location being damaged.🐻😘🐻
Was just there a few weeks back and met Dr. Lynn Rogers for the first time and very much looking forward to going back! Such an amazing and life-changing experience!
God bless you all. I thought I loved wildlife until I began watching David Attenborough programs one after another. Now I am MORE passionate than ever. Learning, as Makayla pointed out, about all of the different species of animals, and how much they have to struggle to make it to adulthood is miraculous and heartbreaking. Especially when it is mostly humans that destroy the habitats, hunt them for fur or trophies, etc. You have to be brave to do what these folks do, BUT we don't have to be brave to demand people stop cutting down their habitats so we can get more junk mail with all the trees we kill. Polluting their water, and building up the sacred places where they once flourished. SO much of this destruction can be avoided If we band together and stop excepting junk mail, palm seed oil, buying plastic whenever possible and stand up for those who have no voice. Instead of supporting destruction of our earth, using our money and voices to solve these problems in other countries and stop them here... I have much more research to do, but I am going to start by seeing WHO thinks it's OK to demolish rain forests? Of course not purchasing plastic junk and other obvious waste❤
I pray and presume that they don’t let any of the animals go back to the wilderness while it’s still hunting season. I would think that they would wait so to give the animal that much more of an advantage.🙏🐾💝
If everyone watched the entire video you would see that the baby bear went to the wildlife rehab center the next morning. Mikayla and Ethan only took care of it overnight. Finny and the foxes probably never saw the baby bear. Thank You Mikayla and Ethan for helping this poor baby bear. 🐻 Hugs to you and all the foxes 🦊🦊
That was so nice to see! Hats off to you for finding a proper milk substitute for that little gal. Hopefully she's able to grow up and live a peaceful life free of hunters. We don't live in the wild, wild west and there is no real need for a group of individuals who harm the balance of nature the way that they do. I also monitor HERD elephants in South Africa and they, along with Sheldrake Trust rescue orphaned elephants and as much as they can, save them. One of the things I learned was that milk formulations for the orphans are usually tailored specifically to each individual. Thankfully that didn't need to happen here.
What a beautiful little baby. I don’t remember to say this enough but Ethan, you are such a dear. That gentle heave-ho into the back of the van for the little one. Thank you both.
the Northern US’s answer to the Orca, everybody. But seriously, This is a great thing you both have done for this bear cub. As someone who grew up in bear territory, I salute you.
Save a fox Foundation is absolutely awesome ❤❤ love your videos and what you stand for educating the public - humans need to do way more !! your friend - Nova Scotia Mother Nature - protecting and preserving ecosystems wildlife and their natural habitats 💕
@@Soldier4USA2005 That, a capuchin, leopard cub, spider monkey... I'm glad for my exposure to all kinds of life, even the black market ones. And yes, they got busted 🙂
Because humans are as well, depending on how you define it. While modern humans behaviorally are not exactly like other apex predators (which is a good thing) our physiology and ecological niche most closely match other predator species. We also evolved right alongside them, like the wolves that became our dogs, and the wildcats that became our domestic cats.
Bear Hunting Season ?? I'm from Germany: Could you please tell me, if there is too many of them or do they do it just for fun? I can' believe it that they shoot those majestic beautiful animals. Thank you and greetings !
I think it's mostly for pest control and trophies, not for eating. At least they're not in danger of being hunted to extinction, whereas in Germany, the last bear was hunted down in the mountains of Bavaria almost 200 years ago, but the wolves have returned to Germany in the past few decades, so that's pretty cool.
Some people do eat them, though the meat is very high in iron making some of the organ meat a little risky to eat for humans (at least in more than small amounts). Its definitely not the primary reason. At least a small group of hunters still take "leave nothing to waste" seriously these days. Sadly, trophy hunting is probably the primary driver for most who choose bear over other species, like some species of deer, that over populate due to our previous ecological mistakes. At least Minnesota was one of the few states to never completely lose its wolf population.
It's SO adorable how the cub gets so into slurping that the bowl drags back and eventually starts to tip over. The cub's story makes my heart hurt but I'm super grateful Mikayla and Saveafox were able to step in. 💕😭thank you, Saveafox!!
THANKS FOR CAREING LIKE YOU DO FOR THESE PRECIOUS ANIMALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAD TO KNOW THAT SHE WAS ORPHAND, SHE LOOKS SO WEAK A SAD!!!! YOU GAVE HER YOUR LOVEING HELP & HOPEFULLY SHE HAS A GOOD LIFE NOW!!!!!! Do take care. Fl.
Thank you for rescuing this baby! I live in British Columbia, Canada and have had numerous (over 50) encounters with wild bears while out hiking and in my own backyard (which was not in the wild but just backed up to a small green belt) and I absolutely love these bears. They have all been happy to just move on, even those with cubs, so I hate when they are displayed as vicious, aggressive animals. I have never felt threatened once, and I do not carry a weapon of any sort to defend myself. Note: I do not mess around with grizzly bears. This is black bears I’m talking about.
Now if we can get SaveAFox to do a collab with Chandler's Wild Life, Chandler does similar videos, all being educational about animals like SAF (SaveAFox) is. Also the work you guys are doing with these bears is amazing and insightful, it shows people a more different side to these majestic animals.
There's been a young brown bear roaming around the area near where I live for a few months, on his own after previously being seen with his mother in the spring and early summer. We're not far enough out in the sticks for hunters to have done anything to the mother, but she was getting into garbage bins and unlocked doors, so I'm pretty sure Animal Control got involved -- they might've grabbed the sibling as well, but for some reason, this cub was left behind. Haven't seen or heard anything about him in a while, so maybe someone was able to relocate him, too. He was looking pretty scraggly and undernourished the last time I saw him.
Awww it’s a tiny coca…bear naw for real she is adorable. Thank you for caring for her. Animals truly are absolutely the best even when they are grumpy and scary.
man its so heart breaking to see how sad this little bear looks like and that all cause someone thought its a good idea to shoot its mother 😢. Thx so much dear SaveAFox team for jumping in so fast and helping this wonderful little 🐻girl. Maybe one day you can make another vid where you show us what has become of her that would be wonderful 🥰. max love and respect for everyone at SaveAFox
Oh wow that bear wasn't even old enough to eat solid food. Thank you for taking them in. Hopefully they can be successfully released safely in the future.
I'm reminded of the old story about a car safari.."Am I allowed to feed the animals?" "No." "Well, am I allowed to get out of the car and pet them?" "...That would constitute feeding the animals.." :-)
You're like a real life Disney Princess being surrounded by all these animals!
She absolutely is America's favorite Disney princess
I love how the bear just sits on the bench. It's like you two have a friendly meeting.
They're having a nice pic-a-nic 🐻
@@ag9200 pic-a-bear.
I love the photo of her hand feeding the cub on while sitting together on her deckì❤
Is this on a wildlife reservation? My concern is the cub getting desensitized to danger from humans and becomes an easy target for hunters!
"Cub Foods" what an appropriate supermarket name
Thank you for saving this sweet little bear 🐻, she's adorable! I can't believe people want to murder these beautiful creatures! ❤🐻
Thank you for everything that you do to help all kinds of animals! ❤
Poor little thing looks so sad and confused!

It’s so interesting how APEX PREDATORS often start out being lil cutie pies 😭
Just like humans… but cuter
Most bears aren't exactly predators, animal protein is only a small part of their diet. The only true predator bear is the polar bear.
@@ruthbrewer466yuh. Humans, Sharks, Orcas, Wolves, Tigers, Bears, all adorable when babies. it’s a TRICK

Baby animals (including humans), are made to evoke protective feelings, so it's all by design!
