- Hey everyone including the DWEEBS.... in this episode we are going to give you an idea on how to Slip your 300 supercharger. We perform the first service on a Sea-Doo Rxp-x 300 and test its fresh Stage 1 Install. Then we take a ride to see my man Ernesto Calas and build a turbo motor together.

Mine was at 10 ft pounds at the 50 hour mark. Ski felt like a turd till JP did the 50 hour service that woke it back up. Happy ski now.

Love these videos! I've always worked on my own stuff, 4 wheelers, dirt bikes, side by side, lawn mower, tractor, vehicles etc etc. I have 3 skis, 2 gtx 300s and a spark and I've done several mods to MY gtx.....but I'm new to working on skis, it's a learning curve! But if I ever fall into something I can't figure out, I'm taking my ski to you guys! I can tell from your videos, you guys are thorough and I like that!

You guys are the best race shop in Fl . Difference between Yamaha and seadoo : 2021's yamahas dont need the supercharger to be removed and the wear ring wont be needing replacing. . Good thing for you guys seadoo is more maintence than yamahas. { 21 gpr owner 8600 rpm } no issues
I have 2 FZR's and an RXP. The yamaha supercharger clutch will eventually fail. I lost count how many times I've changed them. JP has a great video on how to do the job when the time comes.
Dod you have a blowoff valve or does it not help?
My fzr cracked a head and a friend his went the following week same thing we ran 8600 rpm just bought my first seadoo.

How can I tell if my super charger is slipping while running it? Its a 2022 sea doo 300 gtx limited. I have a SCOM on it and cant get it to go over 72mph. Someone told me that the SCOM doesn't work on my ski. Thanks!

Ok i got a question.... when i start my ski or Scarab jet boat out of the water it sounds like the impeller is grinding. Why so yours never sound like that?????
I bet its the ibr bracket rattling,if you hold it still the rattle goes

@@kevinfreestone5595 Its not the IBR. Sounds like the impeller. When i rev it it goes away. Impeller and wear ring look brand new, no dings or scratches at all. My 2014 Scarab 195 HO does the same. It has the 250 hp supercharged intercooled. And they both run like bats outta hell. Weird.
I took mine to my buddy that is a PWC mechanic at a local dealer to have him do the slip. He was only checking it to stock specs. I showed him this video and he was very skeptical about doing this because it said it would put too much pressure on the shaft. How are these holding up after this?
I have your stage 1 . 2020 RXTX went 79 last fall changed the oil in fall now won't go more than 43. 5600 RPM. Where to start? Can I adjust slip on SC with it in the machine?

2011 RXP X 255 - do you set the slip to 14 lb as well? Most likely going to have you do stage 1 kit on one of them - also, is there any way to check the hours on the pcm - I was sold these under the impression they had 24/26 hrs but I have a hard time believing it.

Where is your shop located by any chance is it in Atlanta Georgia lol also if it’s not which I doubt it is what’s the chance of that happening can you recommend somebody to possibly work on my Sea-Doo I have a 2007 RXP I want to check the supercharger slip I want to check the wear ring and I also want to check the impeller… I don’t see too many issues with the ski it hit 71 miles an hour easily will go 7576 in the right conditions
Julio so what are the signs of a supercharger slipping? Asking cause my 21 kind of slips a bit at hole shot, after a second it goes 🧐
That sounds like cavitation. Check your wear ring and impeller

would you contribute a ace 300 only getting 6800rpms possibly to SC slip? It runs fine just laking the RPMs. We did plugs, relays, battery and fuel is fresh

So on the nose cones that come with Solas props… Do you guys recommend removing them and running without on any ski? My 2010 P-X has the metal cone on it now but I’m about to pull the pump to put a new seal and Riva stainless wear ring in.
We actually have seen gains not running the nose cone.
@@JP_RACING_INC Roger that. Will remove once I take it all apart and see how it goes! I am getting a consistent easy 70 on my dash so we’ll see if the better seal, stainless ring, and removal of the cone help at all.

Your cold air intake do you need a tune to see a gain or throw it in there and see a slight gain.id figure the air charge will be what ever the intercooler temp no matter where you get the air.and would it be beneficial to put the intercooler plumbed into a cooler if you drag playing around with my buddy's
You will see more acceleration but will not get the full benefit without a flash.

When you say 14 its 14 ft lbs or ft pounds? Sorry if is a silly question but in europe we use Nm (Newtons/meter) Thank you

What is the purpose of the slippage on the supercharger ?
I think it's to limit the torque applied to the compressor shaft when the revs change suddenly, like when the ski comes out of the water and the engine suddenly jumps in rpm, so the clutch slips instead of the shaft breaking.

There’s also an even more important effect caused by the spinning momentum of the supercharger impeller when the engine throttle is suddenly closed that can cause the shaft to shear off without the slippage allowed by the clutches.

@@JP_RACING_INC Gee, I wish I was closer to Fort Myers :) That is a good price. My See Doo dealer has a $140.00 an hour labor charge. Good thing mine is under warranty for 5 more years :) Had to by a new one, no one here works on 2 stokes anymore. Mine probably just needed a starter :)

I run the full syn T6. It is JASO MA approved for wet clutches. Why do you run T4?
I run T6 5w40 in our 2021 Limited n TX. I've been a firm believer in the protection of synthetic oils for 30+ years. Never an oil related failure in any of my motors.
