I would have liked to participate in the live stream but it airs around 5am in my timezone so I guess I'll just have to be satisfied watching it after the show. Great work anyway Lars and I find your sessions very informative - thanks heaps :-)
How does having split faces verses split bodies affect using CAM later when you are machining a pattern or symbol on the face of the cutting board? Does having split bodies cause more work when using CAM?
Lars Christensen Thank you Lars!! Maybe something like a basic cabinet or work bench (nothing elaborate, just a basic design)? I know you've done dovetail joints but, maybe you could use mortise and tenon joinery? I ask this because, up til now, I've used another sketch program but, it seems to me that Fusión 360 is a better, more versatile program to use. Thanks for all your fantastic tutorials!!!!
Is there a way to split only part of a body with a plane? That is, the splitting place intersects the body in two places, and I only want to split the body at one of the intersections. I tried creating a sketch at that intersection, but cannot split using the sketch (??). The only way I've figured out to do what I want is to create a new body (e.g., from the sketch) -- a block -- and use the block to split the bigger body. That seems more cumbersome that it needs to be.
This is crazy. I was searching how to split face into many faces by selecting splitting lines together. Not one by one. I have many faces and lines to split and it is crazy to select it one by one... Hehhh
Always good info. You are a godsend for people coming fresh into fusion 360.
Thank you so much!
Once again, excellent content (and commentary). I look forwards to all your videos.
Thank you hudacekf

Right at the end you said what I was trying to do: Create a component from a body. Thanks!
Great information! I'm new to Fusion 360, and this REALLY helped solve a problem I was having. Thank you!
Is it possible to do the split face by selecting the sketch, instead of doing the splits one at a time?
missed the live stream but thanks for the video your amazing
Thank you EJ Be the Light
Lars Thank You!
You are so very welcome :-) Thank you for watching!
Is there a simple way to join to faces that meet on a same plane and join them as one?
Yes, select the face you want to delete...and hit delete

Can I do this with a step file?
Couldn't he have done the split face as a single operation by selecting multiple faces and multiple splitting tools from the sketch?
I am also searching for this.... Did you find it out?
Hey, I got that one :)
Thumbs up!
October 2nd 2017...
Just one day after the "split civilians" in Catalonia, Europe...
Pity you cannot use Fusion 360 to build proper democracies...
You've REALLY stretched to try and make a video about CAD political... dude, time and a place. You just look like a douche.
Very cool and informative
