Appreciate your free info but could you do a video on the inversions of the five main jazz chords and how to quickly move from one to another as if playing a tune as that is the killer for me. Thanks.

My mind is blown! As a guitarist that's used to moving the same around the fretboard, this approach uses a similar logical approach. Less thinking about specific notes and moreso about which chords youre on relative to the root!

I have the feeling that this is one of your most useful videos yet. Thanks, mate! I need to get a bit more behind the theory here but I can see where all of this is going. Nick Cave's Wide lovely eyes is a great example to practice chord in their inversions because you do wonderful things with just G - C - D.

I'm so glad I watched this video. I thought it was too basic, since I've been practicing like this for a while. I happened to watch your video on forming scales and I made lots of progress right away. It is really the best method I've seen on You Tube.
But your tip of moving up the scale using inversions is something I hadn't thought of doing yet.
    Brilliant.
    Merci beaucoup.

Hi, it's easier to 'show' than explain in words but there's a couple of things to think about, firstly your positions and angle you come down at, but also, if you have tension and fingers are stiff or your pushing too hard, you're far more likely to cathc and pull down the unwanted notes as well as the one you're aiming for. Perhaps practice just individual fingers in that position to get a feel for the 'sweet spot' that works. Hope that helps a bit, will take some practice!

@@PianoFromScratch I was thinking real piano and good sound quality. I understand if it won't really interest your audience considering how you are helping beginner pianist. Whatever you want to do is fine idk I just feel that no one has made a clear and consise video about it.

Ok well the standard thing is a stereo pair of microphones pointing inside the piano. You’ll need either a portable recorder or an interface to record into your computer. For good mic placement/choice etc, I’m sure there’s some audio engineering channels out there which can help you out in more detail. Good luck!

That's frustrating, we've all been there. What are you trying to learn? Is it perhaps just a bit too difficult for your current level? If so, it's much more effective and encouraging to build your skills with simpler things and getting them really solid. That way you're developing a good foundation from which to learn harder stuff in the future
