How does the pulley and belt system work better rather than connecting the motor to the ball screw directly? 2:1 ratio doubles the torque? Is it? And therefore we can use smaller motors? Or it gives the rapid?
The way I have it set up more torque but slower , Eventually I’ll get bigger motors use one to one or direct drive on the shaft so roughly the same tour as I have now but twice as fast
i plan to look into that topic further when i get into alu i plan to look into it further. at this time theoretical .001 inch and i would guess like .060 inch backlash
