Who was cosplaying? Was hoping Andy would be on, but Keanu Reeves was a decent substitute.

I love how it starts with Jane telling Andy he is a writer.
And then both Jane and Mike are really engaged throughout. Andy is a little quieter than usual, but his energy is welcome as always . It almost seemed like he just got done writing something and Jane and Mike were happy about it and hanging out with him.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who finds the game too hard. This is the first and only game I ever played on Story difficulty. Used to think it was partly because I don't usually play shooters with a controller, but apparently a lot of people agree.
Ahem... Git Gud!. These games are not remotely hard.
@@scottneil1187 that's a good idea. Another good one is to just enjoy the thing I spent my money on. Alan Wake 2 is one of my all time favorites, and that wouldn't be the case if I didn't enjoy the game.

@@scottneil1187 In other news, this game looks genuinely much harder than it needs to be. The taken in normal difficulty take about as much gunfire to take down as the zombies do in Resi2's hardcore difficulty, if not more. All while being much faster and being invulnerable half the time. In other words, it's even harder. And that's the 'normal' difficulty
I play Resi2 remake on hardcore all the time and even I think that's excessive

The "Handle your business" and "Because he's a hipster" Double Mint Twins moments with Mike and Jane against Andy were wonderful to watch and weirdly made my brain happy
I love that the bureau is so locked into the design of the first house that they design out buildings to look just like it.
Good thing there was a ranking FBC agent in the base game for this, this wouldn't work half as well with a completely new character, and would've been broken af if Jesse had been the main, though I admit it would've been fun to see her toss Taken all about 🤣
nice to see Andy's Alan Wake costume thought does this now mean that for one hallowstream from every year now someone has to dress up as the character they are playing

I do agree generally the difficulty in the main game was not well-tuned (turned it down to story mode around the nursing home boss and only turned it back up for the end game) I generally think most Western devs just think survival horror is about painfully hard combat and don’t get why stuff like resident evil or silent hill work so well
But not helped by Andy skipping so many item boxes tho
If we’re voting for favorite Hallowstream moments, “Where’s Tad!” from the Seventh Guest stream is among my favorites.😊

I don’t know if the gang’ll ever see this, but since a “Hallowstream greatest hits” idea had come up, I had been kicking around an idea to see them combine Hallowstream with the other great yearly tradition: Xmas Challenges! Perhaps part of the month could be focused on competing in (live rather than pre-recorded?) spooky challenges to become Halloween Champion? (though I wouldn’t want it to crowd the Xmas challenge space too much)
Sadly I'll have to wait to watch this to avoid spoilers but dropping a comment anyway for the algorithm:)

They are not the couple from the beginning of Alan Wake 2. The two remaining are the FBC agents. This chapter occurs midway through the game - this was Agent Estevez of the FBC that you work with later in the game, particularly at the police station. The two in the diner weren’t agents.
Control is great, one of my all time favorites.
Alan wake 2 I was REALLY enjoying until I hit the actual Alan wake section and I lost interest.. I know it's not a popular opinion but I liked playing as the fbi character I'm the town area way more..
