That's one thing i loved about this show, all the main characters bicker like old friends. Some shows try to replicate that byy just having the characters constantly insult eachother but without any real chemistry between the actors. These guys _do_ seem like they've been dealing with eachothers shit for a lifetime.
A couple years back, a buddy of mine showed me a video where a guy (ironically, Canadian) actually replicated the truck-based woodworking shop; and it worked.
The Barq's product placement in this show would bother me if it wasn't so perfect for Red's character. You could argue that he'd be drinking real beer, but I think he's like Gatsby - he's in charge because he's slightly less drunk than everyone else.
"Mr. Green, I looked through the tape and there was nothing on it! There's no content!" "Sounds like a hit!" HOLY SHIT THE RED GREEN SHOW PREDICTED THE FUTURE OF TELEVISION
MisterNinetySeven nah, it was written when reality shows started to get huge(Survivor just started and Fox had those “When x Attacks” shows)...sadly, it’s still as true today as it was then
My most favorite shows as a youth was Red Green and Tool Time Tim....Where I lived it was the best of Public Television education! They pop now and then as fund raisers for that station. Good to k ow education has changed....or has it?
Though you have to admit, Stephanie Beard cursing there in that voice (even bleeped) was really cute. Though will have to agree she really didn't fit into the show.
Funny thing is 3M is Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing. Sold to Canada Eh? So close via International Falls. Post it notes all the stuff. Duct tape. They say duck. So many paper mills and iron mills.. She never gives up her dead 💀. They call Lake Superior. Lake Michigan, Ontario Erie.Hudson all are awesome and spooky. Fresh water oceans. Gitche Gumee
that does sounds like how some people act when they're still on their parents health insurance. I knew some kids who's parents worked for the state (who provide great insurance here) and they were daredevils until after their first health problem or injury after they weren't covered by their parents insurance anymore. One guy went from scateboarding daily to no longer climbing ladders over 3 feet when he sprained an ankle and had to pay out of pocket. That might not sound like a big deal, but in the US a sprained ankle will cost you more than major surgery anywhere else in the world.
@@arthas640 ...don't you lousy malcontents have ANYTHING good to say about healthcare in the U.S.?!! IF IT'S SO GODDAM BAD HERE IN THE U.S., THEN WHY DON'T YOU GET YOUR LOUSY ASS OUT AND GO LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE?! YOU WON'T BE MISSED, AND THERE ARE AN AWFUL LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD WHO WOULD BE GLAD TO TRADE PLACES WITH YOU!!!
"Today Ranger Gord will be playing for a yo-yo; how ironic is that?" Like working for one... And... "Do you know what a specimen is?" "Yes; I believe a specimen is an Italian astronaut..." I believe the Earth actually stopped in orbit for a couple seconds there; it's almost as bad as the Italian definition of bigotry--any tree 15 feet or taller...
Dalton and Red stayed in the Lodge for a few days because of the toxic cloud and Red turns a truck into a workshop and gets informed about adding violence and profanity in the show and an adventure involved in oil barrels
13:55 - Didn't watch as many of the later episodes of red-green growing up... Kinda disconcerting hearing (former) YTV PJ Suga BayBee swearing, even if bleeped.
i actually thought this was just a large pre-teen girl for the longest time despite Beard being about 18 or 19 here. She sounds like a 10 or 12 year old girl, so it is kinda weird hearing her swear
My dad and I used to watch this show all the time together....wish he was alive to keep watching it with me ..
Red and Dalton are bickering like an old married couple. I love it.

"Were you ever in the Merchant Marines?"
"No, but I was a Sailor Scout. Close enough?"
I know Jeff was in sailor moon, he was hotarus dad. Anyone else was in sailor moon
Never mind I realized steph was mini moon
Absurd, insane, oh-so-astoundingly clever and creative comedy and humor. Thank you, Canada.
Funniest show ever. Characters and writing are brilliant.
A couple years back, a buddy of mine showed me a video where a guy (ironically, Canadian) actually replicated the truck-based woodworking shop; and it worked.
Did he post a video? I'd like to see that.
Seriously! 500 or less at the auction😅
This is my favorite episode. Such clever writing!
The best thing in the episode is the tire iron

Well, both Red and Barq's are Canadian, so why not?🍺🇨🇦

Thing is, tv had gotten much worse since then
I love how Stephanie gets bleeped yet you can basically hear the entire word...
boy she has the most high pitched voice ive ever heard
Why don't we see her more often? 😘
@@Uncle-Bull ...POSSIBLY!!!
That's how censorship works in Canada
4:04 - Yes I believe a specimen is an Italian astronaut.
the_randomizer,-- lol Specimen is a Italian Astronaut I love it!
That was great!
Probably my favorite Ranger Gord joke.
@@zackstewart4109 4:16 Red's line "my wits are nothing compared to his stupidity" may be one of my favorites for the series XD
A 'bigamist" is a fog over Italy.
Always loved that squeaky HR rep lmfao
Im pretty sure that's Stephanie Beard, she was the Ytv host named sugar! so funny hearing her swear like that lol
"I need to know what I'm eatin'--I'm sure they'll ask at the hospital."
I love this show!!

"alright men, and Dalton." 😂
Red interacting with Sailor Moon is *bizarre* xD
Though you have to admit, Stephanie Beard cursing there in that voice (even bleeped) was really cute.
Though will have to agree she really didn't fit into the show.
@@Saucy-ws6jc She was also a baby Sailor Moon.
...SUCH A POTTY MOUTH-!!!
Although censored, I heard she said other words. Is that true?
She didn't fit into the show at all and her voice is grating.
'were you ever in the merchant marine?!' lmao
no she was not know why listen close she could not even say fuck she says fudge lol
“Here’s our tribute to the aboriginal peoples”
That show cracks me up
I gotta use that ill eat as much as u do lol
First time i've heard Red refer to that area as, Possum. Makes sense of course: Possum Lake, the Possum Lodge...
8:22 "next I use nat king cole on that . he's extra smooth"
"You need to attract a younger demographic"
Me, watching this as a teenage girl back in the day: 😶
2:52 Oh, Lord! It's Ranger Gord!
honestly the belt sander eavestrough idea is great
The word game always gets a good response.
Red was having a great day, until Dalton walked in... lol
Beer assistant!!! Richard Rawlings, get you some of that. Lmao.
The possum lodge does seem like a good place live or sleep in.
lmao at red's meeting with the valley girl program director and the oil drum roll down the hill .
12:15. The old S&S Productions offices.
A specimen is an Italian astronaut
4:01 well , that's how my uncle Franco pronounces it . he's a hitman from Sicily so i think it wise for all of us to agree with Gord .
"Do you know what a specimen is?".....ok that totally got to me. I laughed way too long at that one.
In the oil drum segment, Winston reminded me of Larry of Three Stooges lol
This is one of the best

Tom The Plummer idiot
5:57 Red pulls up to the driveway with 4 flats
Didn't expect Sugar (Stephanie Beard) on Red Green....
@megasxlr2 12:50 ish
i looked her up because i honestly thought she was a 12 year old they got to fake swear for the show (she's actually 18 or 19 here)
@megasxlr2 She was a radio personality in Toronto and used to host The Zone (a kids' program) on YTV. More recently, she was also on The Flash.
"That's what happens when you have socialized medicine." :D

Nice relevant ep for 2019-2021
"Today Ranger Gord will be playing for a yo-yo; how ironic is that?" Like working for one...

"Do you know what a specimen is?" "Yes; I believe a specimen is an Italian astronaut..."

...how about THIS one: "Studebaker"- "an inebriated Italian pastry chef"!!
(get it? get it? get it? snucker-snucker-snucker-snucker)
@Proud Straight White Christian Conservative WHAT DON'T YOU GET?!
A "SNUCKER" IS A CROSS BETWEEN A SNICKER AND A CHORTLE-!!!
The Stephanie clips would be a lot funnier, I think, if she wasn't so unbelievably beautiful.
the show produces classic funny lines ...
Red: Gord, do you know what a specimen is?
Gord: Yes, I believe a specimen is an Italian astronaut.
🤣
So apparently, Red sleeps with his hat on. Good to know.
Dalton and Red stayed in the Lodge for a few days because of the toxic cloud and Red turns a truck into a workshop and gets informed about adding violence and profanity in the show and an adventure involved in oil barrels
Red green makes Duck Calls By the way
And Dalton speaks to Red during bedtime and exclaimed that beside him is his tire iron
Even Gord plays for a yo-yo
And also uses a belt sander and exercise your dog
And Ed Frid gets injured while showing a kitten
The duck call thing might actually work
I miss adventures with Bill.. Walter is just not the same.. Bring back Bill..
They did. Bill and Walter interacted with each other a few times when Bill came back.
Does anyone know which ep has the term extra halitosis to the tune of super califragalistic expialidosis ?
I didn’t know they got Avalon Warren for one of these episodes?
13:00 her voice gives me the creeps...
Sugar baby?
...well, "ya can't please EVERYBODY"!!
When red said dalton what is that. I thought there was already gas from lying down

I wonder if she was bleeped in Canada!
Probably the best man show if your a real man lol
The red green show is so funny 👍
@12:30 her voice is like sandaper on your ear drums. WHY did girls talk that way??
Italien Astronaut got me good.
If anyone is wondering, a horseshoe magnet destroys video tapes!
Something the younger generation sadly might not know about.
this is the first episode i ever saw
The best episode that focuses on Dalton is "Damn You Emu"
Oh the says when video tapes were still popular
...THAT LOOKED LIKE AN OLD SONY BETAMAX VIDEOCASSETTE-!!!
Specimen...an Italian...tops
An Italian spaceman! Hahahaaa
That time Dalton turned into a girl right before our eyes
Barqs has Bite and now Red Green has given it teeth...
Where's bill at

Red Green: doing Duck Dynasty before it was cool
IVIuggle I like Duck Dynasty and Deer Hunters and Swamp People
Barq' s root beer
🐱🐶😹👍😹
I'm a man and I can change if I have to I guess
man that was a funny episode
Stephanie Beard did a great job at the character.....but I found the humor of the character was not as much as my dislike of the character.
Poor ed.
I miss Howard!
You mean Harold?
I never saw the secretary part. Heck no, don't add any filth. Don't ruin a great simpleminded smorgasbord with true trash!
Dalton is clearly a terrible cook!
Red Green wore masks before it was cool
Stephanie needs to talk less. Like, by a lot
tired of dalton's hair ...it was okaY FOR ONE EPISODE , BUT NOT THE ENTIRE RUN .
Who the hell is she? Loose her please
