To those of you complaining that the aliens aren't "scarier", Starro is one of the best, classic Justice League villains. I think it was a very appropriate choice, and I'd rather that they pick something classic than just randomly make up some generic villain just for this ride. As a huge DC fan, I think this looks great, and I'd love to get the chance to head down to Australia to ride it sometime!
well, i have been on this ride myself so i can say that the animatronics are quite realistic and with the 3D glasses on the starro parasites feel like they are jumping on to you.
Can't believe the hate this has gotten. We went to movie world last month. I have a 7 year old who is too short and would probably be too scared to hit the big roller coaster rides but he was too old to enjoy the junior movie world section. This was the perfect ride for him and he loved blasting Starro's little stars. In fact out of our whole week at the Gold Coast he said this was his favourite thing. Just because it's not a thrill rush like the Rivals Hypercoaster it still has a target demographic and it nails it.
The problem is that the ride system is awful and ridiculously slow. I can guarantee you your 7 year old would have loved it just as much and likely a heck of a lot more if it had a spiderman like system which at least has a few twirls and some speed and makes you feel you are in the action. This is just a 1km/h train showing you various rooms. It's bad, sorry.
I would recommend going to movie world not on the holidays if your able to because all the theme parks are completely packed with people and it takes an hour to get on one ride. If you don’t go on the holidays the maximum time to get on a ride would take about 15 minutes

They're basing this on a story from the last few of years that ran in the DC book R.E.B.E.L.S., where all the "stars" are just Starro's minions, even the huge ones, and the actual "Starro the Conqueror" looks very much like the villain towards the end of the ride.
I live in Australia and I went on this ride when it first opened in October 2012 the Fact that they Replaced this with the batman adventure is actually Pretty Good, the Replaced the batman ride with a Roller Coaster based on the Arkham Games But this actually really makes you feel like your fighting with the Justice League to a little child who if they are a big fan is a Dream although when it first opened to the public there were Technical Faults and timing was off, it was still amazing

I being to movie world yesturday and that was the second time i went and i went on the justice league 2 times first my mum and second my dad nd i went on the road runner rollercoaster 5 times!
They have a clone of this ride at Six Flags over Georgia that just opened up and it’s all screens and you are battling the joker, it’s alright and the plus side is the got many of the voice actors who played the heroes in a lot of the animated movies but I wish there were more animatronics rather just one joker and the cyborg at the beginning who isn’t kept up very well
It’s the same concept but that ride isn’t a clone (other than the hall of justice facade and cyborg animatronic). The ride is entirely different (and honestly way better than this is).
The other batman ride was much better but this one is okay. I want to see what happens when you refuse todo anything. Anyone willing to make a vid of that?

I think this ride is trying to be too many things, men and black and spiderman in one ride. Queue looked really great, don't think they fully pulled off the ride experience though, just stick to being a laser-quest style ride or a special effects ride

I was expecting something like the Spiderman ride at Universal Orlando, not a Toy Story Mania ride. looks cool though, but I am more a Marvel fan anyways.
It's not a bad attraction. There are some parts that really look good, but the costumes and a few of the scenes could have been better. If Six Flags were to ever have an attraction like this, lets hope it's a litte more authentic looking.

Seeing this makes me realize how well Disney and Universal does their dark rides, this one looks a little carnival-y. :o
I still think this is superior to Toy Story but probably not as good as Spider-Man Universal
