  • Paint beautiful landscapes by taking inspiration from these two watercolor landscape paintings. Painting landscapes is fun and relaxing. It is a great way to experiment with different colors and techniques. I run through the colors I use for both paintings. Start with something similar or just go entirely off in your own direction!. Thank you for watching :).

Both ethereal landscapes, thanks for showing how. I think the the warm bright blues really popped against the darker less saturated blues!

Thank you so much for your comment. Yes ‘ethereal’ is a good word! I should have used it in the title 😊

Beautiful! You inspired me to try but it’s harder than it looks.

Thank you, I am so glad it inspired you to try. Yes its true, I think it probably is harder than it looks. I have done many bad paintings with this technique and now I find I can do slightly more better than bad ones since I have practiced alot!. There are other tutorials, some of the acrylic ones (used on paper so like watercolour are slightly easier I think). Thank you for your comment 😊

Ah, a brilliant excuse to go pick up an Indigo watercolour 😅. Possibly my favourite colour ever.
Anyway i had a go at this as very much a beginner, and the results weren’t horrible so that was a surprise. I also put a few marks in with my palette knife, which i think i also saw you do in another video, and that’s so very effective for suggesting borders or grass. So thankyou for the demo and the inspiration 😊

Thats great! I also started using a knife (like a craft knife) to make marks and that makes really nice very fine marks. So glad you gave it a go and had good results! Its so nice to get feedback 😊
