The reason we sharpen our pencils with a blade is so that we can shape the pencil. It allows you to carve further up and expose more graphite, as well as thin the base of the pencil, giving more vision of what you're drawing. The pencil sometimes blocks, or casts a shadow on what youre trying to draw.
@@Avengeblackleaders Correct! I am a lefty, so this is extra important for me to do. As when I draw, I draw sideways, to avoid my hand smearing what I am drawing. I do the same when I write. I don't write from left to right, I write from bottom to top. It seems completely abnormal to a righty. But most lefties do it naturally, to avoid getting ink or graphite all over our hands, and smearing what we write/draw.

The reason why they sharpen it that way is because they need to have a different side that can do shading that can do the precise line work that can do everything else that the pencil cannot do typically with a regular pencil sharpener the regular pencil sharpener will make it a spear point instead of a flat tip on what he was actually doing to make the shading that much better
I’m glad is older folk still pay homage to tobey, knowing Spider-Man wouldn’t be what it is today without him. Outside blade/spawn he was one of the first superhero’s
