      I was very surprised here, beautiful city but still lots of character behind the modern buildings and didn’t feel unsafe once here 👌

      Very safe apart from psychopath drivers. I liked Batumi so much I bought my holiday home there

    Usually when you see run down buildings like that, those were 70-100 year old or even older buildings. People lived in them but due to age or earthquakes those structures became weaker. Thing is Tbilisi City council has Strict city planning/architecture rules, so most of the time owners and families are not allowed to rebuild/strengthen or change exterior of the building they lived in for years. It should be done under special comission and by City council which takes time. Thats why you saw so many run down buildings in old Tbilisi/historical part of the city. It is not good to look at when you pass by, but it is what it is

      I’m now in Armenia, but I will 100% definitely be back to Georgia. Amazing country !
