I’m so pleased you’ve done this simple sew, as there is so much helpful information for newbie sewists where they can see and understand what you’re doing. I can try bagging up some of our hours and send them backward to you, so you can gain the time you need to make more😉 (I hope that makes sense 🤣🤣).

Thank you so much for this sew along! I've had this cut out for ages and hadn't made it. I think the arm bindings intimidated me for some reason. Now I'm going to sew it up this week. The tip about the shoulder seams was great. It's something that bothered me in the past, but I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Mystery solved! I just used your Toaster Sweater sew along last week and it was very helpful. Really appreciate the work you put into these.

Thank you very much Andrea. I have this half made up. It had trouble with the armholes so abandoned it!,! You have encouraged me to revisit it and finish it. I am looking at coverstitch machines at the moment, wondering which one to get and even if I need one, I have Pfaff expression, it’s 18years old but I live it. It has stitches that I can improvise with plus the twin needle, but I like the finish of the cover stitch. Can you suggest one for me. At the moment I am looking at the brother CV3550. Its amazing how there is always something new to learn! Offsetting the shoulder seams ... so simple, yet it makes such a difference! And I am about to start putting together a Love Notions LDT tank, so it couldn't have come at a better time!
I am glad to hear you say to iron as you go. I had that stressed to me when I was young and when I do it I am happy but if I slack off I am never satisfied.

I have this pattern also, I have a ton of jersey to use up. I hope you are loving that sewing machine! I have one just like it, only mine is from the 1990’s , I think. It’s old, but it’s sews beautifully. I can hem thick jeans or sew up chiffon without problems. Mine is pink!

Looks like a great pattern. My question is, my neckline and hem look great until i wash it and then it looks like i need to iron again to make it lay flat, which I don't really want to lol. And the hem curls up too. I have even tried using stretch interfacing in the hem but it doesn't help. Do you have any tips or have any idea what i am doing wrong? When you adjust the neckline in a knit pattern do you use a percentage to figure out the neckband measurement. Thanks cindy.

Time is the only thing that stops me doing sewalongs . They take a full day to film and edit . It’s a Frida blouse from Atelier Jupe

Hi Cindy , I’ve worn and washed this one and it’s fine so far. When I adjust the neckline I cut my neckband to 80% the length of the neckline.

This might be a dumb question, but why the zig zag AND the overlocking? Could you do one or the other?
Just my preference . I needn’t overlock , I just like the finished look of on the inside.

Check that your printer is set to ‘print actual size’ ,it may be set to ‘fit to page ‘
