I was laughing. How does JH not know that EVERYONE in the comments section could do ANY job that exists faster than anyone else. He is so lucky to have so many experts here watching and commenting on videos.
Up north we use hockey pucks for 1" body lifts. I've never seen one fail. I'm a 100% Ford man, but I'm really excited to see the crew cab coming together
I like the way you put that if you can’t do it without help by yourself please don’t apply. I’m a heavy diesel technician and you have to be self sufficient or you’re never going to last. I was lucky enough to grow up in a family of technicians though. Great content as usual! Can’t wait to see the finished trucks!
I like how easily you guys could cut the video and edit, but you leave the mistakes in as you make them, because lord knows we all do lol, just so real, love it!
Excellent video. I highly encourage everybody in North America to support their small businesses, because whether you like it or not we may all be supporting small businesses once again sooner than you think. I would buy a motorcycle a year from that man, and the big Outdoor Sports Polaris dealership down the street can kick rocks until its feet are bloody. The thing is you can't go to Polaris and buy a pile of parts and have somebody help you through building your own complete ab0rtion of a machine, and at that shop that you're standing in..... you can💯
I don't know about down there, but up here in Minnesota, a PERFECT 1" body lift is achieved with actual hockey pucks. Drill the size hole you need and BAM!!! Solid rubber mounts, perfectly 1" thick.
JH I love this build. I'm in the process of finishing my 93 k3500 dually crew cab that I installed a LLY/ZF6 4x4. I think it would be cool to get together with your truck and mine. Keep it rollin
Cross member should have sat on inside of frame rails for the most support. Right now the trans and tcase load will just be on them 4 bolts. Just my thought tho.
wishing yall some luck finding a good tech i am certified diesel tech. now i do the easy stuff and work on mercedes benz its very hard to find good help we are slowly getting some good ones in our shop. but like the stuff you do and is why i got into the trade 30 yr now and still love it as was my first day.
16:35 for that cross member I recommend 2x6 3/8thick box tube. I just built one for a Cummins/46rh swapped squarebody using a horseshoe style t case mount and it’s the strongest cross member on the whole truck lol. It makes the Cummins swap cross member look weak af! Yours looks factory, I like it! I had to
If no one can really train new people of course there won’t be many new people able to do it. I definitely understand it’s a time and cost commitment to train people but while the older guys are phasing out not many people are getting trained to replace them.
If you have to lose that AC box you should give Vintage Air a call they have a Slimline for that truck that mounts flush with the firewall and is cold as heck I just installed one in an 88 C 2500 super easy high quality product
2:20 local shop in town took 4 months to do a transmission on an F150, $183 primary drive clutch pack 3 week shipping time 48... 4 months later, the AC doesn't work. so now on the acreage, the thunderbird car gets a 3208 CAT... work day 7 and its going in on 8. frame drop kit, strut cut and push over, 5speed CAT reconfiguration, steering rack extension etc. front push bar extension bumper and light's relocation brackets... have to source a front 3.93 gear AAM axle somewhere... find something eventually, one day a week worked for the last 3 weeks. mount the AC compressor to it... TRAR CAT car and the doors open to a seat height that takes a 90 degree pivot and lean over... 😐 entry exam is make something work out of the pile out back? adds to pile...
I really think you should do a Sima build on that square. Bobby, you have not done one in quite some years. I would like to see one, and I've seen that build. I have not seen you in a while. I'll do the truck polls either. So I would like to see you do to mud truck pulls. I would love to see you bring this back
Id put in my resume because I have my 2 year degree in diesel tech but being a 20 year old I bet I don’t have the skills yet. Good luck hunting for one Justin!
If you can tear a motor apart and put it back together and get it to run in a timely manner apply exactly you won’t get anywhere not trying worse that happens u don’t get job
Enjoy your content JH, good luck finding employees with a non conditioned shop in Florida. Zack almost went postal on George by not getting aircon. Maybe you will read this, but they have solar powered air on units that you would find pretty effective to run cost wise.
I'm 50. I've built many cars. I can do everything. My first car was diesel! Back in 1990. When diesel was poison! I just want a house and excessive rates of pay! I'll be the LS George for you! I want my own shirt as well! Willing to travel. But only up to 14000 km.
Not knocking you Justin but that’s the entire job market nobody wants to train anyone and just expects you to pull experience out magically from your behind 😂. Square body looking good

Gotta love a clean square body. I want to work on my dad's. He custom ordered it on 1983 it's a Custom delux k20 3/4 ton truck on a 1 ton suspension. He did that to avoid the catalytic converter he said. It's been a farm truck so it needs all the body work. I want to put an ls in front of the sm465 and repaint the 2 tone midnight blue white top. It's going to be sharp

This channel is slept on definitely deserves more views
I love the look of an old square body Chevy especially one that’s getting a duramax swap! Love the truck.
