Avril didn't really care about those charts and awards anymore after her 3rd album. She just likes to do the music she likes to do. Haha

Here's To Never Growing Up was a top 20 hit song(at #20) on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the album peaked in the top #5 which is good.

Pd: Hush Hush and Let Me Go deserved better SO MUCH better.
This entire album is SO SO GOOD I don’t understand why people hated it.
Give you what you like was a HUGE fan favorite and we basically petitioned for a video to be made for it
I'm sure it just felt too all over the place for most people, but it's a shame because the songs themselves are great
I love everything except the album cover
Honestly what you mentioned near the end is the reason why it is the most disliked album amongst fans. It mainly focuses on 3 diferent subjects: youth (HTNGU, RNR, 17, BS, SOP, YASNY), sex (GYWYL, Hello Kitty, Bad Girl) and love (Hello Heartache, Falling Fast, Hush Hush) but it really does not present a story. Also, most people felt it was too all over the place sonically and that some of the lyrical content was not suitable for the 28/29 year old woman she was at the time. Personally I love listening to it during the summer and the nostalgia it fills me with and i think the writing improved quite a lot in some songs in comparison to stuff from her 2nd to 4th album, but she did the experimentation thing much better in her last record though...

Hello Kitty such a funny song, I still giggle everytime I hear her speaking Japanese
They changed the ending of Let Me Go because they started dating while making the album so they didn't want to sing a break up song together, so they went back and changed the lyrics.
They said it on a interview back in the days

@@iamcontron Let Go B-Sides are amazing! Daydream, Won’t Let You Go, and Breakaway are great! Also, All Because of You and I Wanna Be were written by Avril and Butch Walker for Puffy and it was originally supposed to be on The Best Damn Thing!
HUSH HUSH is the song i repeatedly play in the bathroom when I "shower" while crying so hard... I had to make noises and (or music) so that my partner wouldn't hear me crying there. I just keep it to myself. I'm crying to my situation and this song made it even feel more painful than it is. 😭😭😭 We did broke up after a week.

You are not the only one mad at rnr not charting well. I was so mad that a super catchy song like rnr was just left to die. Im happy atleast japanese fans ate that up and it was a huge hit in japan.

When i heard of the title HELLO HEARTACHE I thought it would be a sad melodic song, didn't know that the the instrumentation is actually DARK and i love it.

I'm pretty much a full blown metal head....but this song, Alice, and I'm with you....her voice is so awesome.... ESPECIALLY in Alice, which wasnt the best written song, but her voice was incredible. I dont understand why shes struggling so much these days. Shes so good at what she does....

She has already released her 2019 album Head Above Water which you can check on her RUclips channel and Spotify account which it is available in full. New Pop Punk single drops April/May 2021 with a Pop Punk album in the Summer of 2021. She's working with Blink182 drummer and bassist Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus respectively as well as Machine Gun Kelly,ModSun,Marshmello and producer John Feldmann.
