- I’m alive, been a while since I did this kinda video. With the new Fire Emblem game out, I wanted to do so once more, since these are the main videos people know me for nowadays.
For this series I skipped one of the Shez forms to avoid showing the same, or similar convo twice. But worry not I will do a full male Shez video later to make up for it.
It’s worth noting that few characters have 3 supports together. And that some of them only show on certain routes. Quantity over quality, I guess? Warriors Three Hopes definitely had long supports for the smaller number, so I leave that up to you to interpret.

Got to love how Rodrigue is immediately an acting parent to basically everybody he comes in contact to along with Felix, especially Shez.
It makes me wish he had more supports with all the other blue lions.
Yup Rodrigue is basically the father lion to all the blue lion cubs.
Some of his battle dialogue with Ashe has him praising him as a role model but to be careful as well.
Also he is pretty supportive of Sylvain during there paralogue even gose after his father at the end to get him to apologise to Sylvain for snaping.

It’s really touching to see Rodrigue patch things up with Felix this time.
Yes I was so happy when I saw he had supports with his son, I immediatly started building their support conversation in the hopes of having a reconciliation between the 2 of them. I am not disappointed in the slightlest.

Potentially dies. Otherwise you get a bittersweet moment between Felix and Dimitri.

Randolph and Judith were originally meant to be playable or maybe they'll be added via update DLC. Who knows. Maybe we'll get a Slithers DLC where we see them doing their shenanigans to plunge Fodlan into chaos. Other dlc candidates in my opinion would be Ladislava or Nader. Hoping we'll get characters that weren't playable before instead of Cyril, Gustave, Hanneman and Alois even though there are people who would want them. Give us Macuil and Indech in human form instead.
I agree with Shez here. Rodrigue and Felix are so much more alike than they seem at first glance.
I like how the devs/writers made it so Rodrigue didn't back down from his stance on Glenn's death completely. Instead just made it even more explicit that he also mourned him.
I think a lot of the community (as well as felix himself) forget that being proud as well as mourning aren't mutually exclusive.
It also dose a better job of explaining what he actually ment and that he wasn't glorifying Glenn death

Things were a bit undone and unresolved in Three Houses. Felix made that decision on his own and gave his father backtalk. But he's but a child who didn't understand enough that Rodriguez was grieving and would rather know his son left this world on a high note, than not even fighting to the last man or some other bad news.
Felix wasn't there at the Tragedy of Duscur, if he was, who can say he would survive that attack? And speaking of that, when it comes to Demitri, his guard is up after the one time he saw his friend slaughter the bandits. You would think that the tragedy that Dimitri survived should have left him at least factoring why Dimitri was looking for blood. He's not wrong to stand up to his friend, but Felix's attitude still stank enough to not attempt to get Rodrigue and Dimitri to explain why they act the way they did.
Three Hopes did what Three Houses could have resolved differently in terms of the relationship. Of course they could have done that with Rodrigue taking the initiative as they did in Three Hopes.
God Rodrigue is such a dork and I love it.

@@PokemonMaster64158 During the Tragedy of Duscur, Felix lost Glenn, and Rodrigue was also saddened by his son's death, but said that he died like a true knight. After hearing this, Felix thought that his father didn't care about his brother's death, which is why he hates him.

Rodrigue is the best dad in FE imo, he's chill, kind, a dork & morally upright. He's the dad of the entire house of BL & his supports are very insightful because of his history & experience. His adventures with Lambert & Mathias makes me want to play a prequel starring all of them. You can see how & why they continue to support Dimitri even in 3 Houses where he went missing they continue to fight the empire.
Yup Rodrigue is just the best and shows nothing but surport and love to all his cubs I only wish he could have had a surport with all of them
@@4wheal yes true, as happy as I am he is playable & has supports, I wish he had more supports only because I enjoy his character alot.
Absolutely. Gustave is cool, but Rodrigue is easily the best out of the three new characters in this game. More supports with him would be awesome.
Holst is....eh. If GW was a better route, I might like him more.
Monica is just.....why? If it were up to me, she would be getting a rewrite. No question about it.

Monica though is just the worst, MC worshipping as the sole character trait is just bad writing in any story, it's just weird & disgusting 🤢
@shadowsquid1351 I know exactly what you mean. I don't mind a character having a particular fondness for the MC, but there needs to be more to them than that. I suppose it also depends on the character. Monica simping for Edelgard with barely any other traits was a horrible combination.
Rodrigue really is one of the best characters. I know why his death was important in Azure Moon, but I still wish you could save him.
I like how they actually made Rodrigue a character rather than a plot device. I still prefer 3 Houses but they did Rodrigue dirty especially when he barely interacts with anyone outside of Dimitri and even less with his own son.
I’m sure they had more planned for Rodrigue in houses but time crunch likely prevented them from going too far with him, for me Azure gleam is better in terms of how it makes the other blue lion members feel more relevant to the story, but at the cost of Dimitri being a boring lord compared to the other two in hopes
Whereas with houses, I’m very invested in Dimitri’s character and story, but at the cost of the other BL members not being that relevant to the story
Rodrigue is a good dad and I will die on that hill.

One of my favorite characters finally gets supports, I love Rodrigue alot & thankfully he's finally playable here.

IMO, Rodrigue should've been playable in the OG game while Gilbert should've been the one who died.
I really prefer Felix's "Old Man" over Annette's father.
I think most people do.
Doesn't help that Rodrigue would've been a totally unique unit as a Holy Knight while Gilbert is just lame Dedue.

Just a personal note, I wish Rodrigue and Felix’s A support came just before recruiting Byleth instead of after that happens 😕since it’s locked after, then they don’t get to apologize to each other if Byleth doesn’t get recruited…

Does anyone know why Rodrigue's A support with Felix is locked? Do I need to get to A with someone else first?
It seems you have to have to have Recruited Byleth and Jeralt to your party... To prevent his death... I guess he felt like he needed to say it when he felt the feeling he could of died in that time...
@@georgemeyers7172 and also because the scenes post-Rodrigue death in the alternate route would've felt repetitive if you also had seen Rodrigue's A supports in the same playthrough
Can someone tell me when Rodrigue's supports unlock for Dimitri, Felix and Shez? Im stuck and cant get them any higher. Currently on Ch 6.
Some support conversations are locked for story reasons. For example, Rodrigue and Felix's A support doesn't become available until after chapter 12 under certain conditions. Just keep playing through the story and you'll unlock them eventually. If you see a lock on their support that says, (it will take time to build this bond) or something like that, it means you have to progress through the story more. Just watch out for (you missed the opportunity to deepen this bond). That means you're locked out of their support. Happened to me with Dimitri and Mercedes.
How to unlock a support? 🥺 I have it unlocked and well I couldn't use him anymore???
Did you go past a certain chapter in Azure Gleam?
At a certain point you have to make the right decision otherwise you won't see the A support.
