I agree with you, except you're missing the arranged version done by Data East themselves, hidden in Vapor Trail's sequel Skull Fang for the Sega Saturn. It's on RUclips, and it's a damn fine version of the song. It's got instruments more faithful to the original, but this is still the better version. I'd put it between the this and the arcade version.
