I like how the music is poorly emulated (this is World of Longplays, of course they wouldn't give a crap about good emulation) with random tempo changes everywhere, yet people still praise it. Shows just how good it is!
Man, i played this in the arcade, I tried to find the title after so long because I couldn't remember it. Finally found this video and the title, thank you! I just remember that it has the seyren plane and the bomb is a rolling attack. Demm nostalgia from the 90s
I'm confused by your comment... a bit... but here's my reply Touhou is quite a popular bullet hell, i personally don't like it, I'd rather have a single colored bullet with a stage that has as much character as the boss fight like what CAVE does. In terms of music, I can't knock touhou for its music... don't like it mind but it has quite a big following (the game and the music since they release Shmups rather consistently), so I'd say it comes down to taste (I do like the song Geneology of Memories ~ Until the End of History come to think of it). Zun's... art is objectively horrible but the clothing is your typical magical girl affair which is highly subjective. Now... the idea of a Shoot Em Up stems from the Era before consoles were able to handle these types of games. Arcade Developers would make hard games to master that will give them big bank in terms of payouts. But to summarize my thoughts so that it wouldn't be as long... A. Get through the game B. Get through the game using the least amount of credits C. Get through the game using only one credits (most people stop here while others go further) D. Get the highest score possible while maintaining that one credit. Through out this process (around the time of Recca, DonPachi and DoDonPachi), someone decided to reduce the hitbox of the ship and increase the number of bullets on screen to not rely on aimed shots but rather on patterns which a masterful player can skillfully dodge with ease making for some fun gameplay to both go for or just watch in the sidelines.
Remember playing this in the arcades...even with the noise from other games, this game’s music stood out and was awesome! Always pumped up my blood!
“Enemy at 12 o’clock!”
“Roger!”
“Don’t allow it to escape!”

'A city occupied by an unidentified forces'
The Japlish was one of the endearing charms of arcade games
This music is epic!
Almost reminds you of "Top Gun," but beefed up with sci-fi elements
aerobert nope...arcade’s way better
@@famyemil i agree ! the megadrive port is very soft ... while the arcade has that heavy punch
@@ZeroKenshin I don't know about the rest of the OST, but the start of the Genesis' level 1 music was amazing.
Agree. It makes you pumped up to fight
The genesis version"s music is even better!
The first part of the Vapor Trail/Kuuga trilogy.
Most iconic of this game is the music, like aaaaa, aaaaa, aaa, aaa, aaa 😆
The valkirie was so OP that the other 2 fighters resulted useless.

Cool game, very interesting ship upgrades
This game kinda reminds me of Varth Operation Thunderstorm. This is basically Data East version of Varth.
Guitar samples are the same as Desert Assault! This one also being a jewel!
That stage one theme sounds like someone tried to use Fruit Loops for the first time...
Data East? They were nice
Yes, and now they are gone. :(
RIP, they were great
Sadly they are gone
I played the Genesis port and love it
i prefer the genesis version for the main theme.
i prefer the arcade version for everything else.
One of the video challenges on Nick Arcade.
10,000 points in level 1.
They were using the Genesis/Mega Drive version on that show.
Gimme some good Shmups with good music
So the ones by the well known guys like Cave, Team Shanghai Alice and Treasure?

What
which what is that for?
I don't even understand what you 2 are saying there, I'm talking about shoot'em ups with good music nothing more
awesome music
how come not using the glitch weapon? the one shoots out in round ball fire in turbo mode.
Why the music going so fast every time he shoots?
Good job
Vapor trail is the best arcade stg game!
Gah this is why I don't like using Sylph. Most of the shots are wasted

7:40 THEY PLAGERIZED KONAMI'S GRADIUS
Destroy the core! is a gradius reference.
but,@@maleiva i don't think this game has anything to do with konami
@@davidbravo8073 it's a REFERENCE, not plagiarism. you don't have to be the creator of something to reference it
