Don't think you've mentioned it in this series yet but, there's a callback in SVR 2011 in the John Cena RTWM. During one of the weeks where Randy Orton is Raw GM, he puts Cena & MVP in a tag match under "Age of Orton Rules" where, during the dialogue, they mention the Better Than U-Topia rules from SVR 2009. And, in a phone call afterwards, Cena does break the fourth wall a bit by even mentioning Smackdown vs Raw 2009.

It is nice that they found ways to connect MyRise to WWE 2K20. Brooklyn von Braun is part of Shayna's MMA group, Josie Jane is part of the female MyRise, El Mago Jr is part of the male MyRise, then of course there's Chase being Ribbie. A shame we can't use any of them, but it is cool to see them again.
Something I found interesting and might be an attention to detail or not, was the fact that when you lost the Universal Title as Tre to Brawn, Buzz would win the title from Brawn. The reason I say it's attention to detail is that if you listen to voicemails from Buzz, he's always on the other brand and this would've made sense as Buzz was on smackdown at the time.
Did you know in John cena’s road to wrestlmaina in smack down vs raw 2011 the same rules that mvp used on cena on smack down vs raw 2009 are the same that get used by randy orton
Even more of a fun fact, Chase while now is officially the Iconic Ribbie, originally if you went into the files of the game, they used James Ellsworth as the face scan for the model behind Ribbie, so originally James Ellsworth was Ribbie, then again they probably had multiple people who played Ribbie, so maybe they both played him at different points
I wish wish wish 2k would bring back the style of RTWM in WWE '12. That was easily the best thing in the game, and was revolutionary for the game at the time
WWE 12 RTWM the hero/wcw invasion/CAW arc has a cutscene where all 3 leads in the RTWM story meet up for the first time together(tho all 3 were present in the final match) it was the Cody Rhodes gets dumped in a car trunk cutscene, where HHH Sheamus and Jacob Cass(the CAW) are all together.
There is an alternative commentary for if Cena beats Punk in the Money in the Bank match in I think WWE2k14 maybe? Lawler says, "See ya Punk, don't let the door hit you on the way out!"
So I don't know how often you read comments but fun fact... when you beat Shane McMahon in wwe2k22 they give you a quick special dialog they just say that the bond is broken between them and that's pretty much all not really anything special but yeah Keep up the good work and have a good day/night

tbh i think the writing was fine in all modes except Vs Undertaker. 09 already pushed how weird Undertaker stories could be with Boogeyman's killer staff and the Urn turning Santino and Finlay into Zombies. But the Undertaker literally getting into the CAW's (Or any mid carder of your chosing) head and making them see shit is dumb. Cena's and Jericho's was peak writing

WWE '12 was ahead for it's time with it's realistic camera movement in the cutscenes. I actually wish we could get more of that for cutscenes.
