A better Razer Orochi? Zaopin Z1 Pro review.

- Today review will be on a egg shape mouse that is easily one of my favourite shape at this moment and its the Zaopin Z1 Pro. The mouse has a very similar shape to the Fantech Aria due to its hump but reduced to size something similar to the Razer Orochi v2. At 50usd I think the value on Z1 Pro is quite good too, If you want a larger version of the Z1 Pro the XD7 Aria from Fantech would be the better choice.

Their logo looks so good on the mouse, so clean, cant think of a brand with a better logo
I know right? Love the subtle Z on the mouse, looks very very clean.
Thank you for reviews like these! Often it’s hard to look for reviews on less mainstream mice. So thank you for doing the mice community a solid!
Man thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much. I wanted to say a lot but im at a loss of words on how awesome this review is and how little your sub count is. I know u gonna blow up one day and I was so confused between some of the options u showed at the end and u might of just given me the best directions on finalizing on the Z1 pro. Im liking and subbing everything u put out now xD!!
Awesome one Merzs!!!!! Love this one, it's really great, pretty in depth review and detailed as well with the comparisons.
First thing i noticed is that the Z1 pro's side profile reminds me so much of the g pro superlight, with the scroll wheel and the grooves of it, darn.
Maybe a bit too small for my preference, but great value! The shape is small yet good for small handed users, and the colorways man ✨. Love the features and gifts you get within the price with extra skates + dot skates as well which is pretty rare when you're buying a gamer mouse these days, which is nice, hope to see more mice comps putting dots skates or whatnot. Love the comparisons! You're right, they all feel the same , just diff prices + diff shapes, thats all. The gamemouse market today has been getting bigger and more evolved, with cheaper mices are getting better and better mices are getting cheaper ( i think ). Once again, great one merzs!
Thanks again homie! Your comments always makes my day and I appreciate it so much 🫶🔥.
I actually can see what you mean by the GPX side profile 🤣 but tbf most mouse with that kind of scroll wheel is very similar to GPX anyway. And i think the Z1 Pro size is just small enough for me like I mentioned in the video, really nice to go between claw and ftip in my gaming sesh. And yea Zaopin (and other chinese brands) are putting a lot of extra goodies in the box that makes the price we pay for it feel for valuable, and not to mention they decide to release a pink Z1 pro straight instead of waiting for drops which is 10/10 for me easily, not to mention the dot skates are a nice touch too so people can customize and experiment with their feet placements. And yea we as a gamer are really spoilt nowadays as there are so many cheap option with decent to great performance in the market right now! Not to mention theee will be more coming out in the future so picking a gaming mouse is really just focusing on shape and features that we want, which is awesome (please make a RVM wireless clone that cost less than 300 ringgit 🙏). Thanks for watching my content as always, love you homie! 🔥🔥
I do enjoy me an egg shaped mouse! I mained the Orochi v2 and XD7 for a while. This looks like a great option! Awesome work and comparisons 🔥
I love everything egg myself 🤣. I kinda miss maining the Orochi but personally for me there are just better egg shapes out currently. Maybe Orochi V3 somewhere in the future and we will have a banger of a mouse.
Thanks for the kind words Volta, I appreciate it!! 🫶🔥⚡
46 grams on the lighter batery is crazy!
@@_Khalmyr_ wouldve gotten it but there was only 2 stock left for the pink color and both of those stocks are the larger battery with solid shell
@@MERZS I might pick up an Orochi v2 again next time it’s on sale 😅 Are you gonna try the Darmoshark M3s or Varun?
@@VoltaReviews the orochi went on sale for around 43usd and that is the cheapest I can get it here in malaysia so if it ever goes lower ill snatch one too 🤣. And i probably wont be getting the m3s or varun for a bit, I have too many mouse i have to finish reviewing first
Nice work brother. I love this mouse and am very impressed by how good it is especially for the price.
Thanks a lot homie! I agree, I personally really love the Z1 PRO shape and performance and yea like you mention especially at this kind of price point
Egg supremacy 💪 \j
Egg supremacy indeed
Great review , im feeling very happy to bought one but waiting for over 80Days now xD
Yea, heard a lot of problems with the shipping for the Z1 Pro recently 🤣. It's been 2 weeks since you commented this, have you received the z1 pro?
@@MERZS ye , 4 Days ago. I just bought the Orange one & the Coating is crazy. It feels as same Quality as the Endgame coating. Soft to the Touch & very Grippy. Performance & Software seems a bit better than the VGN F1 Pro (My Copy).
Nice video ! What do you think I should get compared that is similar to my previous G304? I have been looking at this & the darmoshark m3s Varun :) under rm300
Hope my preorder from mechkeys will ship soon!
Ill pray for you that it will come quickly 🙏.
love this color
Is that mouspad glass? That thing is amazing looking.
Nice vid mate - been enjoying my Z1 Pro - migrated from the Orochi V2 and it's a sweet sweet upgrade - as you say it's great value for money. Time will tell if it's made to last though (I might buy another just as a spare). Have you seen the Ironcat 4k dongle on Mechkeys? Do you think it will work with the Z1 Pro.
Also, have you tried the included dot skates? Do you think it is worth switching them from stock?
Thanks for the nice words! And yea the Z1 Pro is an amazing mouse for its price honestly. And no I haven't tried the dot skates as I was dailying the stock skate for as long as I could before it got really annoying to use, so I'll probably swap to dot and update you when I do.
I also saw the ironcat 4k dongle but have 0 idea if it will work or not so can't say much on that, Im sorry.
if something in a mouse its most times the mouse switches, wich are very easy to replace yourself, also mouse wheels are easy to clean/fix. dont give up on your mouse if clicks to broken or the mousewheel stops working, they are easy repairs, and fun to do!
@@Yer_Da_ it has its own 4k dongle now, but imo 4k is not necessary at all, just a waste of money on 0.01% improvement in feel if anything it all
Broo your gameplay is sick, what rank are you?
Please, do a review of Lotus mousepad!
Hello, may I ask you what you think about the Lotus mouse mat? I'm looking to purchase one but haven't seen any reviews about it. Is it comfortable to use?
Also, where did you purchase this Zaopin Z1 Pro? I'm in China currently but can't find a store for it.
Thanks!
Im not familiar enough with glass pad to make a full review about them but my experience have been nothing but solid. My arm did not stick on the surface, the surface itself provides a lot of glide but i personally can still stop easily after a flick on the lotus. And I would say it takes awhile to adjust and once you do it is really comfortable to use, I personally cant see myself going back to cloth as I am spoilt 😅.
And the Z1 Pro seems to be unlisted as of right now. I'll add the TaoBao link in the video description so just in case it gets back up and running.
the thumb groove is too deep and uncomfortable for me on the Orochi. How does this mouse compare in terms of the thumb groove? I wish egg shape mice had an option for no thumb groove 😕
nice broo..
Thanks!
I have 20cm x 11cm hands, would this be too small if i use a more aggressive claw grip?
I think for your hand size and the grip type, the Aria would be a better pick honestly.
wait wtf is that mouse, F1 pro eternal? i cant find it anywhere? did you made it ?
Haha its a 3d printed Razer Viper Mini Signature Edition shell with the VGN F1 Pro for its internals!
How much battery life you get with this 500 mA(in 1k Polling rate) with 1 full charge ?
roughly around a week+
@@MERZS 🥹
where can I get that shell for f1 pro
thingiverse.com/thing:6078102 here is the 3d printing file for it!
What glasd pad is this??
Esport tiger lotus
background music a bit loud but great video otherwise
is it similar to the g305?
Similar to the orochi V2, smaller than the g305
@@MERZS And how does it compare to the Aria xd7? I mainly use g305 wanted a new mouse so I tried the Aria but it was too big unfortunately
@@Virtuoso-wz5lq the Z1 Pro is basically a smaller version of the Aria, roughly around the same size as the Orochi. If you are not interested in such a small mouse, I would recommend you to go look at other g305 "clones" like the katar series from corsair or the strix impact 3 from asus.
@@MERZS thanks for the reply. are there any ones similiar to g203 that are wireless which don't include a battery?
@@Virtuoso-wz5lq the only one I can think of right now are the Katar elite, and Zaopin Z1 pro. If you Like the Aria but its slightly too big, you can try the Z1 Pro as it is technically a smaller aria.
My orochi v2 Dead after 6 months typical razer dogshit quality I liked it very much but it had terrible weight distribution.
Guys, who wanna really small egg shape mouse, buy cox cm600
