What’s up everybody? A few days ago I decided to make French Toast with Hawaiian rolls, because I saw a fellow chef @jessethechef make some, so I wanted to see my version of it. It ended up going viral, and everybody kept asking for the tutorial, so here it goes! Like, comment and subscribe if you can! Tag me @lawcannon when you recreate it!
RECIPE BELOW:
• Hawaiian Rolls
• 3 Eggs
• 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
• TBSP Vanilla Extract
• 1 TSP Ground Cinnamon
• Pinch of Salt
• Pinch of Nutmeg
• 1 TBSP Sugar
• 1/2 Stick of Butter
• Powdered Sugar & Strawberries for Garnish

This morning I blessed my family with this recipe. Everyone loved it.
My local Aldi actually sells Hawaiian sweet rolls made out of brioche bread which is one of the breads people use for french toast a lot. I’m going to give this is a try with the regular Hawaiian bread and the brioche one. Looks yummy, thank you!
My wife made me these for my birthday. Easily the best breakfast I have ever had and these were the stars of the show. So good!!!

Here in Hawaii we can get a loaf of that same sweet bread cut into 2" thick slices which is perfect for French Toast. But we always have the rolls laying around so we make'em the same way you did in the video, except for the nutmeg, gonna have to add some next time.

Lol no heavy cream, is heavy cream. It’s in the dairy aisles next to the milk usually.

What if you leave the bread in the mixture for a few hours?

That’s some thick ass bread. You need to let it soak in the egg mixture a little longer. Otherwise your French toast is going to be French toast on the outside but like regular bread in the middle.
Not true, the heavy cream absorbs perfectly and actually the point of it being a roll, it’s pretty good
