Ryan did effects work for LucasArts for a time, including the Episode III video game. I don't recall what Michael Scott had been up to, but several years ago while on a break from his job, he was struck from behind by a car and severely injured. He was undergoing rehabilitation to regain motor control last I heard and was making progress, but it was unknown if he will ever duel again. This film was shot overnight at a tortilla factory, I believe. They paid Gordy Haab (KotOR II) to compose the original scoring this time around.
Yeah that's right I heard about Michael getting severely injured at some point, I think I saw a page on Facebook about it, I wonder if he's fully recovered now.
@@superdougie4637 Given the injuries he suffered, I don't know if he'll ever be 100% the way he was, but he's posting online here and there. He's certainly seems to be independent again, but I don't know any details.
Michael (Dorkman) Scott was severely injured in an accident. That's why they stopped making videos :( After many years I think he's somewhat recovered. These fan films are extremely nostalgic since the first one is one of the first RUclips videos I ever watched
Impressive, most impressive!! Ryan VS Dorkman’s lightsaber choreographed duels are intense as hell, especially the acting chops that played very well from beginning to end. The fast paced intensity is what I love in Star Wars in general. The martial arts pace in this for example is blood pumping.
If I had to guess: I'd say that Ryan was using form 5 while Dorkman was using form 2. Ryan also seems to have elements of forms 3, 4, and 7 in his fighting style. Dorkman seems to use forms 3, 6 and 7 to an extent. Both of them use hand to hand combat and bits of the force as well. What do you guys think?
oh the nostalgia of these vids.... if you watch some of their behind the scenes they mention the places they go to for their movies, and how people have literally invited them to shoot a scene in their warehouse places. But they definitely put allot of work into these, both saber styles and graphics, time and effort. All pay heavy dividends in the end lol.
Ryan went on to work on the force awakens and other Star Wars projects as well as game of thrones and other large projects. Not sure what dorkman is up to these days but Ryan still is involved with several LCC/Saber Comp related competitions
if you are looking for some recommendations, check out Sith Apprentice, or 3 in the afternoon, or Blindwave's Ferocity or Kylo Ren the Awakening or The Dark Redemption
This one is good, but Ryan's clashes with Brandon Flyte are always WAY more intense in my eyes. If you haven't done so already, make sure to react to Ryan Vs. Brandon 1 and 2, ESPECIALLY 2!!!!!
Thanks for the reaction! You are clearly a true lightsaber fight scene connoisseur.

Damn, that's too bad! He's clearly very talented
Really? I remember watching this in 6th grade and was wondering what happened. That was 13 years ago now.
ooo this is old school, brings back some great memories.

Woaw, a lot of nostalgia right here.
Your turning into the 2003 Clone Wars dooku
Lmao yes, yes I am
Ryan v Dorkman 2 is by far the best all around

Both of them are pro VFX artists that have worked on big productions, Ryan in fact did some effects for Star Wars VII the force awakens
Would be happy to come by and give you that beard trim. Problem (besides the pandemic) is I'm roughly 2700 miles away.

Good clip ♥! As a fellow RUclipsr, I am on the lookout for creative ideas! Excellent Job!
Can u react to some of The Blind Wave lightsaber battles
ooo do alex vs nate 2!

You need to react to two things. Ryan vs Brandon 2, and Before The Dark Times.
Yeah this college students can do a better job on a lughtsaber duel than 300mil of disney star wars. Pathetic
