I randomly came across this video, I don’t play baseball. The advice you gave here is great and hopefully will help out a lot of hard gainers, I wish I could have seen a video like this 7-8 years ago when I started lifting. Although I ended up going from roughly 145-225 in that time, this info would have definitely helped in those early years of lifting when I had no idea how to deal with being a hard gainer.
I am 157 lb 5'10 and a sohpmore in hs looking to be 170 or more before the season starts in mid February. I am working out 5 times a week with a 2 day rotation of just upper and lower mixing in 3 days a week of explosive work. I tracked my calories all summer eating 4200 everyday. Should I take the time to track calories up it to over 4.5k?
Yes, if you're like me you may be a hard gainer and need more calories than that. I would even up it to 5k just to be sure and make sure to weigh yourself every week.

Thank you. I feel the same way. I wish I had learned this in HS.
when you added 19 pounds in less than 3 months did you lose any quickness, speed or athleticism?
No but if u have prior stomach issues and a fast metabolism ur screwed 😂
No I ran the fastest 60 time of my career (6.26).

What if I can’t eat more than 3 eggs in the morning, rice?
You need protein. Bacon can work or sausage too.
