Fast Eddie Clark join the band in 19/76 and left in 1980. Ace of Spades came out in 1980. My band added this song to our set list right after seeing it on MTV. Thanks for helping me with a missing note in the main riff
Really cool old song. I used to sing this with a group many years ago. I had other guitarists in that group and I just sang, so I had never learned the riff myself. FastWay had some great songs, but couldn't keep together as a group. From what I have read, "Fast" comes from Fast Eddie and "Way" comes from a bass player named Way who formed the group with Eddie, but joined another band and never even recorded with FastWay, but they hung on to the name. If you remember the movie "Trick or Treat," it featured the kick ass song "Trick or Treat." They had an album of the same name. Another great song on the album was "After Midnight." I think the singer went on to be in a punk rock/Irish bluegrass type sounding group that might remind you a little of Hank III. If these guys could have stayed together and put out some more songs in "Say What You Will" style.... and had some good promotion they could have really made an impact. Anyway, thanks for the riff.
Love trick or treat and after midnight are both bitchin songs. Also Katmandu the way you make feel rocks.

Wow that was nine years ago that you posted this and you said you hadn't played it in years and years. I just heard the song last week. Not for the first time but I looked it up on RUclips because the riff just suddenly popped into my head.

Loved when this album came out. Bought it right away. Been playing this song ever since. Cannot find anywhere Trick or Treat though. Would love to see you do a lesson for that song, best teacher on the web, always teaching the song the correct way. Keep on rocking brother.
