I really like how certain character combinations have special victory animations, like Mario and Sonic, Mario and Yoshi, and Bowser and Bowser Jr.
I love how they're playing a winter sport on a tropical island.

I think the whole series should of been based of dream events rather than just have M & S compete in real life events.
Did they get lazy with this game? There's not that many dream events taking place in Mario and Sonic levels in this game. That's usually what I'm excited for the most
