- This entry level air-cooled outboard also has an impeller and I replaced it with a new one. The recoil rope guide pulleys had grooves worn in them so bad the rope would bind and you couldn't pull start it. I had my machinist brother make two new wheels out of 'Nylatron' and it works great now.
Nice. Good to have a machinist on hand. I like that pulley design , I'll have steal the idea! Ok not steal it - be inspired by it 😅
It's incredible how deep the grooves were! All the way to the spindles!
Also, this Does Not have reverse Lol 😅. I mis-spoke
Idling like a lazy southern boy 😂 that was hilarious. Also nice motor
Lol ☺️ I'm not sure where that came from! Hahaha 😆 Thanks for watching! USA 🇺🇸

I had the 15 Hp version of and gave it to a friend. Basically it’s an Eska !
I have the 9.9hp and the 15hp versions. The powerhead design and performance is considerably better!
It's all Eska with Sears badging. Air-cooled, single cylinder with enough vibration to compact sand! Lol ☺️
@ The 15 was water cooled
That was a nice feature they had for switching to remote fuel tank
@bymarcatholictinkering Yes, I have impellers on hand. But even this has an impeller too for cooling the bottom end and exhaust. Thanks for watching
Pretty cool tech on the fuel system. I think I have a similar motor laying around the boathouse that I'll give you in the coming weeks.
I'm looking forward to seeing it!
I've got your choke Lever too! Sorry about that Mike!
I’m really impressed that your motors always start on the 1st pull.
@@Doug-zj8ftThanks! I'm a stickler on that for sure!
